SORRY I HAVENT UPDATED IN 104791726310156 YEARS __________________________________ Those words made Marina a little uncomfortable. Who was this strange boy to call her "love"? And what made him think he would get the chance to "figure her out"? Her mind began to wander even though she was surrounded, and suddenly everything but herself disappeared and she was left alone with herself. "What does he want with me," she thought, "have I done something?" She began hyperventilating at the thought she was in danger from him. "What does he even want with me, this, this 'Peter Pan'?" she asked herself. "Am I in danger here? On this island?" then she began to wonder, "Where even is this island? Wh-" she was cut short as she heard a snapping noise in front of her face, causing her to flinch and come out of the serene state she was in.
"Hello, anybody in there?" She was asked by Pan, clearly confused by her spell.
"Sorry, I tend to blank out sometimes when I think," she answered, embarrassed.
"Never mind that," Pan spoke, "we must get back to camp. I've got more important things to do that converse with something so meaningless as some girl who decided to show up on my island."
Marina was offended by the degrading statement, but kept her mouth shut in fear. Pan turned his back to the girl and faced his boys, and Marina was roughly shoved forward by Felix. She turned to him to give him a look and noticed a scar on the side of his face, and looked questioningly at it.
"What are you looking at, girl?" he asked her accusingly. She immediately felt remorse for being so blatantly obvious about her confusion. So she looked away in shame and continued to trudge deeper and deeper into the forest where Pan was leading them.
___________________________________As soon as they reached a clearing in the woods, she wondered if this was the Lost Boys' camp.
"Sit here," Felix directed her towards a log on the ground, "Pan will deal with you shortly." So she sat. And waited. The time seemed to tick on forever, but since she was in a land where time didn't exist, she guessed that that was a result. Finally, Pan showed up and took a seat next to her. She saw something in his eyes, but she couldn't explain with words what it looked like. It was a look she had only caught glimpses of when she was with Connor in the hospital. She internally cringed at the memory of the horrible place. Marina's bad memories always put her in a bad mood. For instance, if she began to remember something like hearing a nurse talk degradingly about her condition, she'd be bitter about it for days. The same went for sad memories, which she was beginning to remember now. So, consequently, she began to feel sad. She dropped her head and let out a huff in defeat. "What's the matter, love?" Pan asked her (though he sounded extremely sarcastic). "Miss your family, do you?"
"I don't have a family," She spoke after a moment, "not since I was 7. I've been in a hospital most of my life." she admitted. Pan seemed intrigued, as if he was waiting for her to say exactly the right thing.
"And why was this love?" He asked her mockingly.
"I'm not comfortable sharing that." she answered quickly.
"Well if you're not comfortable sharing such things as memories, you're going to be very uncomfortable tonight." Marina glanced up at him. She caught his eyes and suddenly the words she had been trying to find came to her. Lust. As she began to realize in disgust what he planned for her, he began to chuckle lightly.
"No," she whispered, then spoke more clearly. "No!" Marina was disgusted, but a hint of fear was laced into her voice. Realizing this, Pan smirked.
"Oh how cute, you think you can tell me no. What a fun little plaything you'll be for me." Marina was horrified. She quickly stood up and began to back away from him.
"No, no this is not happening! You can't do this! I won't let you!" she thought about her next choice of words, and executed them more calmly this time. "It's illegal." She glanced over her shoulder. She was close to the edge of camp, she could make a break for it here.
"Oh my, look at you. So jumpy, fluttering like a little bird. You say it's illegal? Your laws don't apply in Neverland. I am its king."
Marina couldn't wait for it. She immediately bolted into the forest. She hear Pan laughing behind her.
"Go fly away bird, don't worry. I'll catch you," he said darkly.
