Chapter 8

Emma POV

We poofed back into Granny's Diner.

"Where's Meg?" David asked almost as soon as I opened my eyes.

"She stayed in Neverland.......with Pan." Hook snarled.

"What? You let her stay with him??" Mary Margret gasped.
"How could you? We all know that Pan is nothing but evil." A women named Bell said in her shocked accent. She was Mr. Golds wife and the towns librarian. Her brown-red hair was pulled up in a messy ponytail and she was eating a salad at the bar.

Everyone mumbled in agreement.

"She refused to come with us. But guys come one.. he lost his magic. He isn't a threat anymore." I tried to explain my actions.

"But he's Pan. He is a horrible person magic or not." Ruby pipped in.

"Yes but it looked like he cared about Meg." Hook said. I looked at him in surprise but he didn't see me.

"But...." Ruby sighed. "But she was my best friend. Now she is gone.."

"I'm sorry Ruby. Hopefully we can bring her back soon. But for now, she is staying in Neverland until she wants to leave." I walked towards her. I saw a tear going down her cheek. I rubbed her back and gave her a hug.

"I just hope she is ok and safe." Ruby wiped her eyes.

"Me too." I sighed.

Meg POV

I turned to Pan after my parents left.

"What did she say about you loosing your magic?" I asked.

"Well......I used to have magic, but when the island lost its magic, so did I." He sighed.

"Wait....so you were like a magical being? Like a wizard or something?" I smirked.

"Haha yea guess." He chuckled. His eyes seemed to laugh when he did. I am so glad those eyes are beaming with life. I don't know what I would do without him.

I sat down next to him on the Hammock. He placed his hand on my thigh.

"Why in the world would you want to stay with me instead of going back with your family?" He asked obviously shocked.

"Because I want to be with someone I love." I answered.

"So you don't love your family?" Pan asked puzzled.

I laughed. "No no it's not that. I just....I don't know it's different with you!"

"Well I'm glad you stayed." Pan smiled and squeezed my thigh.

"I am too." I smiled.

Pan POV

I climbed down the ladder of the treehouse. It had been a week since Meg stayed with me instead of going with her parents, so I wanted to do something special for her. In my hand I had a basket with a quilt in it. I walked barefoot in the woods until I reached Crystal Beach.

The sun was about to set and the waves crashed in a pattern. The rocky shore was golden with the sunlight, and it made it look like the sand was made of crystals.

I walked until I was about ten feet from the ocean and laid out the quilt. I made sure it was smooth and nothing was tucked in anywhere.

Meg is gonna love this! I said to myself. I straightened up with pride and turned to walk back into the forest.

"Excuse me?" I heard a tiny high pitched voice behind me.

I turned around to see a girl standing there. She was about Megs height and age, but that's were the similarities ended. She had brown hair and brown eyes. She was tan, unlike Meg, and skinny as a stick (Meg was skinny but not as skinny as her. I bet the wind could push her off her feet).

"Uhh....hello." I turned all the around way to face her.

She smiled at me and blushed.

"Hello! I just appeared here and I was wondering where I was?" She asked and smiled.

I know I am like the head of Neverland and all and I have don't this a million times, but I was trying to find the words to say to her.

"Uhh..I-uhh..." I gulped.

She giggled. "Are you new here too?"

"No!" I exclaimed. I finally snapped out of my thoughts. "Your in Neverland love. And I am Peter Pan!"

She started bawling. "Neverland?" She asked between laughs.

"Yes." I replied sharply.

"You really think in falling for that?" She slapped her thigh in delight.

"Believe what you want. But I know the truth." I snapped. I turned to walk back into the treeline.

"Wait!" She called.

Man this girl is pushy.

"What?" I whipped around. I saw the girls beautiful eyes and lowered my sneer.

"So your just gonna leave me here? What did I do to you?" She snapped.

I felt emotionally drained. This girl is making me mad. I whipped my forehead.

"Fine." I said. "Follow me."

She smirked in delight and walked up to me.

She reached for my hand but I stuffed them in my pockets.

"My treehouse is just up this trail." I said.

"Fine." She snapped. "Lead the way Peter!"

We approached the treehouse and I heard the girl snort.

"This dump is where you live?" She snickered.

"Yes." I huffed at her. "And this is where you will live until I find somewhere else. Oh and when we get up there, don't annoy Meg." I don't know what I was saying. Was I protecting Meg? Or was I afraid she would get the total wrong message when I brought another girl in the treehouse?

"Who's Meg?" She asked. I saw her cross her arms out of the corner of my eye. I grabbed the first plank of the ladder.

"My girlfriend." I replied. I felt a rush of energy pass through me. Wow. Meg is my girlfriend. I liked the sound of that.

I looked over at the new girl and she had a snotty look on her face.

"Oh so I'm not the only girl you have rescued off a beach and taken into your treehouse where you go who knows what?" She snapped.

"What's your issue?!?" I exclaimed now turned to face her. "Gah I wish I left you on the beach!" I threw my arm in the direction of Crystal Beach. She looked taken aback.

"Sor-ry me grumpy." She moved her hands from the crossed position to her hips.

"There's a reason I am grumpy." I raised my eyebrows at her.

"Whoa give your mouth a diploma cause it's pretty smart." She mocked.

I clinched my fist, but continued to climb instead of giving her a good attitude adjustment. I heard the squeak of the ladder as the girl climbed behind me. I opened the latch.

"There you are!" Meg exclaimed and jogged to me. She wrapped her arms around my neck.

"Hey love. How was your morning?" I asked nervously.

"It was gre-" Meg stopped. Her eyes widened with shock.
