Smile even if it hurts. That's what they say to broken hearted boys.

But ever since she dumped him, breaking his heart then leaving; Luke had found waking up to the busy streets of London not as easy as it first turned out to be.

That coffee shop always cheered him up, if She were to arrive. He couldn't help but stare at her longlingly not noticing the pale boy sat slumped in his chair staring directly at the blue eyed boy.

But Luke finally moved on from that blonde dumb girl as time moved on, as the rain tapped hard on the window panes inside. He would lean against the counter his eyes now watching every move of the boy in the corner. The boy who only knew his name, the one who would leave little notes.

But somehow he never spoke, always a cigarette in his mouth, different dyed hair, strong coffee but always a beautiful note was left behind for Luke. Something which he would keep for longer than the pair will ever know.

Each day was different,  each day he was there, each day a different note but the same beautiful boy caused a smile to appear on Luke's face.

One morning just as the rain from the pervious night had finished and the sun began to clear away the grey. Luke grabbed his own coffee, slunging his leather jacket on the chair through the open back door and tying up his brugandy apron around his waist just as the bell clicked and the glass door opened.

It was him. Michael.

That night Luke and Michael lay in own separate beds thinking of the other and they knew in their hearts that today would be different.

He stood in front of Luke smiling beautifully as the boy made his regular coffee to stay. Once Luke turned around, writing 'Luke' upon the cardboard cup, placing the pen on the side and a lid on the cup he slid it foreward with a beautiful smile.

He charged the boy for the money not taking his eyes off those beautiful green eyes which gazed back at him. Before the boy left he slid a white folded up paper closer to Luke's hand before turning his back and walking to his usual place. At the back in the corner near the window.

As he sipped on the coffee slipping out his usual book from his arm and placing the unlit cigarette in his mouth sending a wink Luke's way.

Today the boy with green eyes had beautiful dyed blonde hair and a smile which makes Luke's melt every single time.

Meanwhile the note itself was carefully written and folded, Luke carefully unfolded it and began to read it. Slience fell around him but he carried on reading.

It was so beautiful Luke could of kissed the paper but decided not just as the sun did shine right through the window and into his eyes.

-the note-

Hello Luke.

I see you everyday as you serve me a coffee which I absolutely hate. But somehow its you who makes me drink it, I seem to enjoy watching you as you serve other customers which aren't me.

It intrigues me that you treat me differently to the way you treat them.  Why is that I wonder alone as I sit there with the sun in my eyes and you on my mind. It is because you feel the same. Am I correct? I probably am.

How about I cut to the chase? And ask you what iam aiming to do?  I believe we should know each other better because I think we both know that sneaky winks, notes, your name on my cup and disgusting coffee is not really all we want is that correct?

Meet me outside here tonight after closing time?  We can settle our differences. You may need to bring a pen and a packet of cigarettes princess.

-Michael

Closing time was 6:00pm and just as the digital clock hit 5:59pm Luke changed himself placing his lip ring back in and slung around his shoulders his leather jacket.

Making sure that the packet from the back and a pen were neatly in his pocket he left the shop. Locking it securely just as the rain bounced down around him causing his quiffed up hair to fall flat on top of his head, annoyed he made his way around the corner to find a beautiful blonde haired boy stood staring at the busy traffic.

They stood beside each other just staring at the side of the road outside the cafe as the rain got quicker and heavier Michael gripped hold of Luke's hand and they stayed still just staring.

No words were needed in that moment.

Everything seemed have had fallen into place.
