Stiles' pov
We leapt off the plane and immediately went into the business of tracking. I was freezing because of the cold of the Russian winter. Derek held me close as we climbed the mountainous terrain to the Berskinski mansion deep in the hills of Russia.
We stopped in front of a pile of ash and charred woods and brick. The only thing was the lone front doors standing as a beacon in the white of the sky and ground. Lockhart fell to the snowy ground. Aiden went to the massive doors and pulled a note off the door.
You want her, come get her.
- Falun
" There's a scent. Come on." Ruckus yelled over the wind
"Maybe we should turn back Stiles is getting cold." Derek hollered back
Derek I'm fine. Really, let's keep going. The longer Cat is with them the more danger she's in.
Derek sighed. He knew he couldn't take me out it.
"Lockhart, do you know where the caves the harpy was talking about?" Derek yelled over the wind
"Yes, but it's on the edge of the territory. At least a 4 hour walk for your poor Stiles." He looked at me sympathetically
"I'll be fine, let keep going." I was lying. And Derek knew I was shivering.
Icarus looked at me, "I have an idea."
He shifted into a white wolf with brown spots, then picked up his heavy jacket with his teeth, and handed it to me. It was so warm and I pulled the hood over. I hugged him and we kept going.
We thronged through the deep snow and winds howled at us like an enemy wolf, trying to stop us. I stopped to catch my footing and realized everyone was gone.
"Guys! Hello?" I screamed only to have my words carried away.
Stiles where are you?
I don't know. Hurry Derek.
I stood there on the brink of tears. The fear of being alone over taking me. I wanted to scream for help but I was too scared of the enemy.
I saw a shadowy figure bounding towards me. I gasped and fell into the snow. A reddish brown wolf looked at me then turned and howled into the sky less blizzard. I saw more figures running to me.
"Stiles!" called a faint voice
"Stiles!" The voice grew louder
I saw Derek and the rest of the party running to me. I sighed and ran into Derek's arms.
"Thank god we've been looking for you for at least an hour." He kissed my forehead and hugged me tighter
" AN HOUR?!?!? Cat!! We have to keep going." I gasped
" It's almost dark Stiles. We won't be any help to Cat walking around in the dark, especially in this weather." Lockhart reasoned
I bit my lip hesitantly, but nodded. We found a cave in a ravine.
I hope she's okay.
We woke up in a cloud filled sky, but fortunately no snow whipping down. I felt warm under the weight of the wolves that I called friends and family. As the fog of sleep left me one thing came to mind. Cat.
"Come on all of you. We have to find Cat right now. We've already wasted too much time."
I used my alpha mate strength to throw them all out into the snow. They all gasped and cussed me out, but I stepped out of the cave.
" Lockhart? Are those the caves you were talking about?" I asked
" Yeah." He breathed
The caves were at least 70 ft above and the way up was a sheer flat rock.
"Fuck." Aiden whispered
" Ethan, don't cuss." I mumbled, not looking away from the wall.
"That wasn't me mom, " he replied in a hushed voice
"Aiden then." I corrected
"Well, let's get climbing shall we?" Evan smiled
I climbed up on Derek's back and each shifted to a more sustainable state to climb with. I had a terrible fear of heights that made me sick when I looked down. Bass slipped and nearly falling but I caught his hand. We made It to the top with no other problems.
"It's about goddamn time. I was just about to kill her." Chuckled a deep voice
