"So you must be Solace, welcome to the underworld! Try to remember your way around, you might end up here permanently next week!" Hades said cheerfully as he lead Nico and his boyfriend through his dark and creepy home. Nico didn't laugh at his dad's joke. It had taken months on Hades' part trying to persuade Nico to let him meet his boyfriend but finally, he agreed.
Nico must admit he felt pleased that his dad was taking an interest in his personal life and accepted the fact that he was gay but he was never going to say that out loud especially in his father heating range. When he first agreed to let Hades meet Will he thought that he meant meet up for about five minuets and then leave, never did he expect them to be having dinner together! If he did, it would have taken an extra year for him to agree.
Nico could tell Will was already uncomfortable, he walked exactly side by side next to Nico and looked pale for the sun gods son. He was also shaking but that could have been from nerves or the cold, unfortunately there was no central heating on the underworld.
Will was absolutely terrified and he didn't have any intension to leave Nico's side. His plan was simple, talk as minimal as possible, eat all the food, be polite and make sure to make a good impression. After all it was Nico's dad, and Will would do anything for Nico, even if that meant meeting the god of the underworld.
Hades turned around and smiled at the two boys. "Nico do you mind checking the garden to see if my wife is out there" Hades asked, wanting to be alone to have a talk to the son of Apollo. "Umm yeah sure" Nico muttered and went off to find the garden. Hades turned to Will and suddenly looked serious. "Listen kid" Hades started "Your not Jackson or Grace so I love you already but" A bead of sweat appeared on Wills forehead, "If you make a single tear fall down his cheek, I will create the worst punishment the underworld has ever seen especially for you" Hades began to smile again "you understand that right?"
