After Gaia was finally defeated it took a while before any of the half bloods got to go on a quest, and of course the first one was for the son of hades, who was not happy with this.
"Go on Nico, its your big chance to prove yourself as one of the big three's kids, I mean when I was your age I'd gone on so many quests!" Percy said to Nico with a smile.
"Yeah, I mean I have a lot to prove it's not like I learnt to summon the dead, learnt how to shadow travel, learned about the curse of Achilles, found out about the roman camp, became an honorary roman senator, learned Gaia was bad before any one else, went to Tartarus by myself and survived, bought my half sister back from the dead, survived in a jar and led the others to the doors of death so we can get you out of Tartarus!" Replied Nico in annoyance
"Okay you make a compelling argument" answered percy
Later on that evening at the camp fire it was announced to everyone that Nico would lead the first quest. His quest was simple, nothing that would result in the world blowing up if he failed unlike the last few since a certain Percy Jackson arrived. All he had to do was get back Zeus stupid engagement ring back that the god of the sky lost in the middle of the underworld before Hera found out. Okay I take that back the world might explode if he failed.
"Now the next question is who are you going to take with you on the quest?" Chiron continued talking to Nico who had not really been paying attention to what he was saying. Oh gods Nico thought to himself, he knew there was something he forgot.
"Will Solace" was the name Nico found himself saying without even releasing he said it.
"Okay is that it or you can take one extra person"
Nico went through his options, percy? no that would be to awkward, Jason? No piper would kill him if he got the slightest bit injured, Leo? No that wouldn't be fair on him or calypso, his sister, again she was a no, she was to busy in New Rome. Nico went through the rest of his options and they all ended up in the same conclusion.
"That's it just me and Will, as long as he agrees..."
