You and your papa Matthew have always been really close. It was his birthday and you wanted to go to the mall for the day so your 8 year old self walked into his room.

"Papa! Let's go to the mall to celebrate your birthday!" You happily said while tugging on your papa's pants.

"Isn't eating pancakes enough already?" He said as put on his glasses.

"No! Your pancakes are supper yummy but today is special!" You say while stomping your foot on the ground with a pouty face.

"Alright," said Matthew as he got up then went to the bathroom with you skipping behind "just give me a while to get ready, okay?"

You nodded then he patted your head then went to take a bath. You went to your room then got changed into a comfortable f/c outfit. You never told your papa but from time to time you would go to your grandfather, Francis for him to teach you a bit of piano. You were going to play for your papa the piece Maple Leaf Rag on the piano that was in the mall for his birthday which is the reason why you wanted to go even though staying at home eating pancakes all day sounded like a lot of fun.

You grabbed Kuma by the paw then waited for your papa to hurry up. After a little while he got out of his room and carried both you and Kuma to the car.

You swung your legs and buckle up as your papa began to drive to the mall.

time skip~

"Were here," he said when you entered the mall "how about we get something to eat?" You nod your head then he took your hand and led you to f/r. A you both ordered some f/f and talked about what you would do for the day.

time skip~

"Pst, Kuma." you whispered. The bear then went closer to you for you to whisper in his furry ear. "Can you distract papa for ten minutes then lead him to the piano near the exit without making him worry about me?" You asked. The bear knew about your little plan so he gave you a thumbs up then went to bug your papa about food. After a while of walking you got to the exit then went up to the guard. "Excuse me, but. Can you please help me with the piano? I want to play a song for my papa." You say. "Alright, just give me a moment." Said the guard as he pat your head then went over to the piano to remove the red velvet barrier rope around the instrument. You sat on the seat then began to play. At this point, Matthew realised you were gone and began to frantically look for you. He got to the exit to see a small crowd of people gathered around the piano. When he squeezed through the crowd you immediately saw him. "Papa! This song is for you, happy birthday!" You said with a big smile on your face without even pausing the song you were playing. When you finished playing you ran and jumped into his arms. "Happy birthday papa! I love you very much!" You said then you gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I love you very much too, y/n. Thank you."

I really tried to make this not as terrible as the other one. I really hope you at the very least tolerate my pathetic attempts at writing. Peace out
