Joe's POV:
"Hey Di? Since Zo is coming down later this morning, is there any chance we can get a good few run throughs in before she appears? I...I just want it to be really good when she sees it and I know so far that it's not brilliant. It's hard enough letting you down but her? I'd never live it down." I mutter, pulling my ballroom shoes tight and beginning my morning warm ups. This week is NOT easy, definitely the toughest week so far; and of course I know its not supposed to get much easier but this is seriously taking the piss. My back and shoulders are aching, nevermind my legs and feet but yet I STILL can't seem to grasp this stupid waltz and of course, this has to be Di's favourite dance.
A very romantic dance.
To a very romantic song.
Her favourite song.
Which requires a lot of close body contact, intimacy and natural chemistry of course. None of which helps my ever growing feelings for the beautiful redheaded Australian who has been given the challenge of teaching Joe Sugg to dance. From week two, that night we stayed up chatting in Bath after spending the day back in Corsham with some of my family, I've known that i'm attracted to her.
To Dianne.
I'm not blind, she's absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.
Incredibly attractive.
I know I shouldn't be, it is the worst possible outcome of this because lets face it, she will never feel the same. She's just out of a long term relationship and I have nothing going for me, especially not this week, seen as I am butchering her favourite dance." Joe! Of course we can but I promise you, it's not as bad as you think, i'm really proud of you! You haven't let me down at all, enough of this silly talk and get into hold with me, remember nip to nip, yeah? Hold my hand a little tighter and...lets go." squeezing my hand just a little tighter, she allows me to guide her through the steps of our dance and suddenly the world switches off.
Holding her close as we waltz round the studio, it's the little things I notice most- the way her hair flows ( and the fact that it has been freshly washed and dyed), the way her nose scrunches when shes concentrating, the soft smile on her lips when I get something right, the gleam in her soft hazel eyes and how soft her hands are in mines. As the dance comes to an end and we sit side by side on our little log, I break out of my trance and pull Dianne to her feet, wrapping her in the tightest hug possible. Leaning back out of my grip, she grins before placing a hand softly on my cheek, " I'm so proud of you Joseph! That was amazing! You're going to make both Zoe and myself very proud on Saturday I tell you!" As she chats, her gaze flicks from my lips, to my eyes and back to my lips and it feels like her grip tightens. She doesn't...does she? Can she? Is this happening? Leaning in slightly, I hold my breath in anticipation. As she moves towards me, its like something has snapped and she recoils away from me like an elastic band and as she does, the studio opens and Zoe's cheerful voice floods the studio, cutting the silence and increasing the awkwardness tenfold. " Good morning guys! How's it...is everything okay? You two seem...I don't know is something wrong?" She misses NOTHING I swear, it has to be a sister thing! " Hey Zoe! yeah we are all good, just strategizing. Wait, is that even a word? God i'm exhausted and I need caffeine. Coffee anyone? Joe?" she flounces towards her bag, grabbing her purse and disappearing out the door after collecting our orders. Looking over at Zoe, I gulp audibly and sink against the mirrored walls, head in hands.
Zoe's POV:
Even after travelling all morning to get to London and a ridiculously early start, I can't wait to see my brother and his gorgeous dance partner! There has been something...different about Joseph recently and I can't quite put my finger on it but I do plan to corner him during rehersals today and figure it out. I can't explain it but he seems...almost happier and much more confident and i'm loving it! Approaching the doors to their studio, I walk right in, instantly halted in my tracks by Dianne launching herself across the room, digging into her massive bag and shouting something about coffee before dashing out the door, leaving a seriously confused and almost guilty looking Joseph stood in the middle of the floor. Glancing up at him, he tenses up and swallows loudly, stomping over to the mirrored wall and flopped ungracefully to the floor, clearly very stressed. "Alright Joe. Spill. I am NOT leaving until you tell me everything okay? Now, start with what I clearly interrupted when I walked in." Sliding down beside my little brother, I pry the hands from his hair and place it firmly on the floor, where he can't cause any damage.
