"come on boss, why did just the kims get a treat?" Jimin cooed at you from across your desk.
Jeongguk behind him, not so subtly rolling his eyes.

"A treat? Jimin" you huffed and looked down at the papers on your desk.

"Mr Min chose them because he was impressed by their work" you said, looking up at him and grinning when he raised his eyebrows.

"Please ms l/n, you know id do everything you want me to" he suggested lewdly, earning a punch on his triceps from jeongguk.

"Dude" he hissed, you chuckled at their interaction.

"Fine" you caved in "but, only one of you will get a case" you pointed at them.

"Pick a partner of the other interns" you said mischeviously, jimin opened his mouth to protest but jeongguk beat him to it.

"Sana" he quickly said, making jimin huff.

"And im stuck with lee? Gee thanks jeon" he grumbled, having you laugh again.

Jeongguk hated that you laughed because of him, even if it was at him.

He just wanted you to smile if he was the cause, which he knows was selfish but with you he couldnt help it.

"I need some entertainment so we will have a trivia quiz" you grinned, satisfied with your mean little idea.

Jeongguk grinned.

"Minatozaki and jeon vs lee and park" you wiggled your brows "you in park?"

"Pff" he huffed "of course boss, you'll be more than convinced once you see me ace this"

"A trivia quiz?" Dahyun laughed as she repeated jeongguks words, he noddingly took a sip of his beer.

"About what, like common knowledge?" taehyung, who was seated next to sana in their regular bar booth, asked.

"Yea, mixed with juristic stuff" jeongguk said.

"Yall shouldve seen the way she suggested it though, shamelessly flirting with me that little minx" jimin grinned as he downed his beer smugly.

"In your dreams park" jeongguk snarled.

"Dont be jealous jeon" he grinned cheesily as he got up to leave.

"im kind of stoked about being able to kick parks ass, not gonna lie" jeongguk grinned, making them laugh after said man had left for the weekend.

After some more minutes passing by he caught some glances that were shared between taehyung and dahyun, making him grin widely at her.

She saw and flushed imediately "uhm its late, i'll go now" she said hurriedly.

Taehyung looked at his wristwatch fakely and hummed "yea, true, i need some sleep, bye guys"

A few seconds later they were off to the bar to pay their part of the bill before leaving together.

Jeongguk chuckled and downed his beer "they are so obvious"

He looked at sana across from him, seeing her poke into her mochito with her straw, a bitter expression on her face.

"You okay?" He asked, softly nudging her elbow with his hand.

"No" she huffed, jeongguk frowned.

"Whats wrong?" He asked softly, she scoffed and took out the straw to down her drink.

"I need more alcohol in my blood to talk about that" she said dryly, jeongguk was shocked at her tone being so different from her usual soft spokenness.

"You dont have to talk ab-" he tried comforting her but got cut off when she called for a waiter.

"No, i want to i just- cant yet" she said as the waiter made his way over.

Jeongguk opened his mouthbut closed it again, nit knowing how to respond to that.

"Hi, can i get six shots of tequila please?" She asked, jeongguks eyes widened before she spoke again.

"Three for me three for him" and gifted a smile to the waiter who just sighed and nodded before walking away.

"Sana, i-" he tried protesting.

"Please jeongguk, its the weekend anyways?" She half asked.

He sighed, scratching the back of his head "alright".

"Thank you for letting me crash here gguk" sana slurred as jeongguk fiddled with his keys just outside of his apartment, pretty drunk himself.

"No biggie" he mumbled and turned the key "welcome to the fortress" he said dramatically, making her giggle.

She let herself flump on his couch "we were so occupied with drinking we didnt even talk about what i wanted to talk about"

"Then lets talk about it now" jeongguk stripped out of his suit jacket he was still wearing from work.

"I have a dirty secret" she huffed, not being able to stay serious, he chuckled.

"Me too" he grinned drunkenly as he sat down next to her.

Suddenly her expression changed into a pained one and tears filled her eyes.

Before he could react with his minimized reactions due to the alcohol in his body, tears were rolling down her cheeks.

"Oh no" he said softly, hugging her from the side.

"Fuck" she wiped her tears away, jeongguk helped her with gentle fingers before tugging some hair behind her ear.

"I have a massive crush on dahyun" she whispered, as if afraid someone else could hear them if she spoke to loud.

He slightly loosened his grip to look at her face, she was peering up at him, her big eyes begging for his kindness.

Begging him to not judge her like her family did, even going as far as breaking off contact.

She found courage to continue speaking when he started rubbing her shoulder after more tears had fallen onto her cheeks.

"I want to hate taehyung for having her but he's a good guy, i like him" she sniffled before breathing in and out deeply.

"Jeongguk i think im gay" she looked up at him again, he held her gaze before smiling at her softly.

"Thats cool" he hugged her tighter when she sobbed in relief "way cooler than having a massive crush on your boss" he mumbled after she had calmed down.

She choked on her own spit for a second "you have a crush on ms l/n??" She asked incredously, he nodded embarrasedly.

"Maybe its just that fetishization of women in power phase that jimin is going through right now" she said.

He huffed "i wish, but i know its not cause i dont just want to fuck her" he drifted off.

"I want to kiss her,  make her laugh and make pancakes with her, just have conversations with her and meet her daughter" he dropped his head back onto the couches headrest.

"I want to beat up her son of a bitch ex husband for cheating on her and i want to buy her all the almond milk in the world" he sighed.

"Damn, you're like borderline in love" she inquired.

"You dont think that way about dahyun?" He asked.

"No i do" she chuckled in self pity.

"Sucks for us, huh?"
