"Bless it be to god, Jesus Christ. Praise to him by the lord. Sophia Mary-weather was a righteous woman with a heart of gold. She did not die in vain. Let her soul Rest In Peace." Jesse bowed his head as a moment of silence.
Being a preacher was exhausting. Speaking the word of god, baptizing, attending charity events, and that goody two shoes crap. Yet it was his duty as a man of god. Duty as a preacher.
The church looked more of a abandoned warehouse instead of a place of worship, but it oddly still struck out from the surroundings. Luckily, he wasn't the only one who was bored at this young women's funeral. Cassidy and Tulip eyeballed him. Tulip's gaze was unsettling unlike Cassidy's gaze, which was calming. It was kinda ironic though. Male's gaze being calming, but a female's gaze being unsettling and intimidating. His first thought was to laugh at that, but quickly discarded the thought. He didn't want any judgmental glares from the family and friends of the deceased. So instead, he just kept his sympathetic expression plastered on his face.
Jesse hated chick flick moments, and right now was exactly that. He would give anything to grab Cassidy and Tulip and run off with them to have a couple of drinks and laugh about stupid life stories, but nope. He had to stand here in the basting sun with sobbing men and woman over a dead waitress. It was absolutely dreadful.
