Slowly opening your eyes when you heared crying from the nursery, it took a while to wake up. You hadn't slept properly in days. And even though Stoffel got out of bed every night to comfort your little girl, you did wake up aswell. This night wasn't any different than the others. Feeling a kiss upon your cheek, made you smile and happy to have a husband like Stoffel.
While listening how he sang a lullaby, you decided to get up too. Sitting up, you put on some socks and grabbed your robe before heading to the nursery. The look of him holding your little angel, made your heart melt. Stoffel smiled when he noticed you. "You didn't had to get up, sweetheart. Giving birth already was a hard one for you." He spoke soft, hoping she would be asleep soon. You smiled and shook your head. "You get out of bed, multiple times to get her back to sleep or change her diaper. It is my turn too."
Stoffel shook his head "I am okay with that. Besides, you do already everything, starting in the morning. I just wanted to make it easier for you." Standing besides him now, you smiled, being touched by his comments. "I love you." You whispered. Stoffel smiled. "I love you and this little munchkin so much. She's perfect." He looked at you. "Get some sleep. I'll be there in a minute." He smiled.
You knew he was right. Even though you loved a challenge, you didn't speak this time and went back to the bedroom. When you layed down, Stoffel appeared. "What do you think about making another perfect baby?" He asked while getting back to bed too. You chuckled. "Maybe after a long while." You teased, still remembering the pain of the birth. Stoffel smirked at your comment. "Alright. We will enjoy the time with this little girl at first before thinking about more kids, okay?" He replied. You smiled soft. "Alright. Let's go back to bed? She is sleeping now anyway."
Stoffel layed your daughter back in her crib before leaving the nursery with you. Laying next to him in bed, you felt how Stoffel pulled you inside his arms to snuggle and spoon. Kissing the top of your head, he smiled. "I am proud of you. You have been so good and tough thrpugh this pregnancy and birth, sweety. Never complaining about anything." He told you.
Smiling, you looked up at him. "I am glad. Besides, you know I don't complain that much." You giggled. Stoffel smirked "It is one of the things I love about you." He kissed your neck, making you gasp. "6 weeks, honey. Than we have the green light again." You stopped him. He sighed "Way too long if you ask me." Turning around you stroked his cheek. "I know, honey. I know." You smiled soft.
Stoffel nuzzled against your neck. "I hope she will be as tough as her mom." You smiled "Really? Don't speak so early. Before you know it, you dislike it."
Falling asleep, you hoped you could sleep until the next morning. Feeling Stoffel's cheek against yours, it reminded you what you made fall in love with him in the first place.
