It had been a few minutes after the Grand Prix of Malaysia when you recieved a call of Olav Mol, the commentator of Formula One of the Dutch television. Answering a few questions about Max' victory, you were happy for him, even you weren't there. Max and you had been together for a few months but you loved him more than anything in the world. While Olav asked you the last question, you heared the sound of your Skype. You smiled, answering his question, telling him that Max was calling you. Hanging up the phone, you answered Max' Skype call and smiled wide. "Congratulations!" you spoke happily. Max smiled "Thank you, babe. I am so happy with this." you gave him a chuckle. "I know. I saw you on the tv. You deserved to win, babe." you replied. Max smirked "Although it had been better if you were here to join me, sweety." he replied. Your face directly changed into a frown and a pout. "I know. But I couldn't come. You know that." you bit your lip. Max looked a little sad "I know. I didn't wanted to guilt you into something. I am so sorry." he comforted you. You kept biting your lip, fighting against the tears. "It's okay. I just miss you."

Max sighed soft "After Japan, I'll travel to Crete aswell, okay? I know you would go there with your friends but I know I can't miss you another day." he explained and directly booked a flight for himself. You smiled "I am sure, they won't mind. They know you're a busy man." Max' eyes looked up again, staring into the camera again. "I know you are more happy than you react now." he smiled. "I am very happy!"

A week had gone by and Max had done so well in the Grand Prix of Japan aswell. He had been on the podium again with Lewis and Daniel only now he was P2. You layed down on one of the beds at the pool, enjoying the view. Max would arrive this evening and would sleep at your room. Your friends knew about this and had already a Welcome party for him. You had rolled your eyes at their idea but deep inside you thought it was fun. They all had a date now aswell since Daniel was travelling together with Max. He had been your best friend's boyfriend and he had told her the same as Max had told you.

When Max had arrived, he had told your friends, you and him would join them later to party at Star Beach. Both of you weren't really into drinking during the season so that would be fine. Max took you out for dinner and had told you to dress fancy. When you were done, you had picked your light green dress to wear and weared your favourite jewelry with it. Max smiled "Wauw! You look amazing." He was wearing a suit. "You too." you replied, feeling how your heart started to beat faster. Heading to the restaurant, Max looked at you. "I missed you." he smiled, looking so handsome. "I missed you too." you replied as you sat down. Raising a brow, you looked at him "Why are we here, Max? Not just for a date night." Max laughed "True. I wanted to ask you something." he replied. And again your heartbeat started to go faster. Max stood up and sat down on one knee. "I wanted to do this a while ago but wanted to wait for the perfect moment. \but I realized in the plane, today was the perfect moment. After my birthday, my victory and now my Second Place in Japan. Sweet, sweet Y/N, do you want to give me the honour to cherish you and love you? Do you want to marry me?" He asked while opening a little box, showing a ring. You nodded, tears of happiness appearing into your eyes. "Yes. Yes, you silly man."

It had been a few weeks since the proposal. The Grand Prixs of America and Mexico had ended well for Max and together, you were looking forward to the Grand Prix of Brazil. Looking at the ring, you thought about how tough the relationship had been and how you and Max had survived it through anything. Max smiled "You like the ring alot, don't you?" he asked you with a smirk on his face. Lookinng up, you were pulled from your thoughts and smiled "Even though I like this ring alot, I still love you alot more." You responded sweet and with a smile. Max chuckled "Did you thought of when you wanted to marry? I know we don't have to marry, directly but.." you raised a brow, as this came a little unexpected "I thought we agreed on marrying until we would be around 25 or 26? Why change it now?" you asked him with concern. Max smiled but than bit his lip. "I know but... Ah, never mind." he responded. Being surprised how he had reacted on this, you looked at him with a frown before sitting next to him.

"What's up?" Laying a hand on his knee, you looked at him. Max sighed "I just want to make sure, you will be okay if something happens to me, okay? I know what happened to Jules..." He looked up at you with watery eyes. You bit your lower lip but than let go of it while hugging him "Oh Max. I know you're worried but I am sure everything will be okay. But if it is so important to you, we can plan already some things? Make sure it is on paper, legally?" You smiled soft, rubbing his back "I will look forward to marrying you, Max. We have until forever."
