Heya! Elsie here! So, if you're anything like me you're probably confused about all the terms and such relating to non-binary.
I myself have only recently learned the difference between non-binary and agender, which seemed like very two similar terms to me.
However, after some further research, the two terms have become much clearer to me. So, I've decided to share my findings with you and, hopefully clear some things up if you were confused about that too.
First, let's start with the definition of both phrases.
Now then, what's the difference?
According to my research, the answer is simple.
Non-binary is the spectrum or umbrella term for anyone who does not identify according to binary genders -- male or female. (Genderfluid, bigendered, trigendered, and genderless people all fall under this category.)
Agender (genderless) is on that spectrum, a more specific identification for anyone who feels non-binary isn't quite enough -- they do not feel as though they are either male or female.
Very simple once you understand stand it. I hope you found this informative. Until next time!
