Garrett's POV:

It was a blisteringly hot day in LA and I was driving around trying to cool down. The AC in my apartment never worked which was so frustrating on days like this. Although it wasn't just the heat that made me leave my apartment early on a Saturday, ever since I broke up with my ex boyfriend I couldn't stand to be alone. I was glad to get rid of him though because he made me feel like shit and lowered my confidence all the time to make himself feel better. I just missed cuddling up to someone at night and feeling like I had a purpose. I was drawn from my thoughts however, when I saw a Starbucks in the distance and decided to get a drink because Starbucks was as I say in my gay voice #bae. I ordered an iced caramel latte and felt way too happy but I am so who can blame me. While I was waiting at a table I saw a poster for a pool that had just opened up in the area. It looked fun and it wasn't too far away so I decided to go and to find someone to take with me. I puled out my phone and called Shane, hoping he wouldn't be too busy to pick up.

...........................................................

( Whenever Shane's line is in capitals, he's using his Queen Shane voice  )

Shane: HELLO GARRETT

Garrett: ( chuckles ) Hiii Shane

Shane: WHAT DO YOU WANT PEASANT

Garrett: Just wondering if you wanted to come to a pool with me ?

Shane : WELL I GUESS I CAN SPARE SOME OF MY TIME GIVE ME HALF AN HOUR AND I'LL BE THERE JUST SEND ME THE ADDRESS.

.........................................................

And with that he hung up.

Damn Shane knew how to cheer me up even over phone. I collected my iced latte, texted Shane the pools address and walked across the street to find a target. I needed swim trunks ( and a shirt ) to go swimming in. I chose the best one's I could find, payed for them and walked back across the street to my car. I sat there for a few moments sipping my drink and thinking to myself. *Ya know what Garrett you need to get over that sleazebag and move on with your life. Find someone better and until then, have fun with your friends.* With that I turned on my engine and started driving to the pool. When I got there, I didn't see Shane's car or an Uber and knew he wasn't here yet. I walked into the changing rooms and into a compartment. I got changed quickly and put my things in a locker. When I got to the pool I found that there was quite a few people here and... NO! There was a gym the other side of the pool and there were guys, HOT GUYS. *Ok Garrett calm down* I usually swam in the shallow end because I felt safer and I couldn't really swim but with the hot guys there my legs carried me to the deep end. Well, my anxiety did. I got to the side of the deep end and somehow managed to convince myself that I knew what I was doing. But I didn't. I wanted to try and impress the guys so when I thought one of them looked at me, I dived. I immediately knew I had made a mistake. I tried to come up to the surface but there were so many people blocking my way. I brought my hand up and reached. My hand breaking the surface, I waved frantically for help, but no one came. I was trapped, doomed and slowly I slipped out of conciousness, my life flashing before my eyes.
