Andrew's POV :
I look up from behind the menu, suppressing my laughter from continuing. He was red in the face too, but from embarrassment. I felt kinda bad but I couldn't find words. He was staring at his shoes and I didn't know what to do. I downed my entire drink before I realised it had alcohol and I almost choked. I began to feel quite tipsy and weird. Garrett had began to read a book so there wasn't any weird tension. I made out the words on the side of the book reading "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets". I then looked at his face, it was no longer red just fixed in a state of concentration. He was so adorable and I just wanted to break the silence but I didn't know how. And that was when I had the stupidest idea I could ever have in that moment. I lent forward, gently tipped Garrett's head up so we made eye contact, and then. I lent in and kissed him. He tensed up the moment I did it but then began to melt. It was so passionate, so magical, I forgot all my rules about not getting close to a guy and just stayed in this blissful moment. His lips were so soft and warm. My heart was beating so fast it could burst.
Garrett's POV :
OMG ! This is actually happening ! Andrew's kissing me and I-I'm kissing him back ? I Didn't know what to do or when it would end. I also didn't know what I would do when it stopped. All the memories of my ex came travelling back into my mind. I couldn't do this. I pulled away from the kiss, grabbed my bag and ran out of the cafe, having an extreme panic attack. I ran until I couldn't run anymore. Tears were streaming down my face and I felt like a complete joke. Andrew was probably upset or-or angry and I didn't even have the courage to go back. I just wanted to go to my apartment and stay there forever. I felt so embarrassed and ashamed of myself I was just scared. Scared to love again. I didn't want to have my heart broken again. I couldn't deal with that pain.
