Garrett's POV :

I was once again woken to the blinding LA sun shining directly in my face. I tried to sit up but a weight around my waist stopped me from doing so. I shifted my head to see Andrew sleeping beside me. His hair had fallen partially over his face and it gave him an overly cute look that I wouldn't mind staring at for hours. I really needed to use the bathroom so I lifted his arm and slid out, placing his arm back onto the bed. I had almost reached the bathroom when I heard the bed move and Andrew sat up, rubbing his eyes. He looked up at me and smiled. I grinned back and just silently entered the bathroom.

I re-emerged and found Andrew in the kitchen, listening to 'The Drug In Me Is You' by Falling In Reverse, and whisking what I only hoped was pancake mix in a bowl. "You're in a good mood Andrew" I chuckled whilst walking up to him and leaning against the side. "I hope those are pancakes" I exclaim as I feel my stomach rumble.

"Yes indeedy" he says happily and I must say, it's the happiest I'd seen him. He poured the mixture into the frying pan and I laughed as he danced around and did air guitar whilst expertly flipping the pancakes onto plates. In about 5 minutes, the two plates both held massive stacks of delicious looking Gods. I sat at the table and poured a generous amount of Golden syrup on my food. Andrew looked at me shove the food into my mouth and groan in satisfaction whilst adding topping to his own. I finished eating and Andrew leans toward me with a napkin. He dabs it on his tongue and wipes  syrup off my cheek. Our eyes lock together and without realising it, I lean in and connect our lips. He kisses back immediately, his hand on my cheek, pushing my face onto his. He tasted like blueberries and pancakes.

We pulled away shyly and smiled weakly before a loud knock made Andrew fall out of his chair and land on his ass.

Andrew's POV :

I get up and open the door to see a girl with short half black, half blond hair and a huge grin on her face. I look down to see a pair of fairly old, Converse shoes. She barges enthusiastically through the door. "You seriously can't buy new shoes" I chuckle as she plonks herself down on my couch next to Garrett.

"Well you know how much I love haunting you about the past" she says brightly as I roll my eyes and close the front door. "Uh Garrett this is Elora, Elora this is Garrett". Her eyes widen and she turns around to face Garrett who is visibly very uncomfortable. "THE FAMOUS GARRETT. OH I'VE HEARD ALL ABOUT YOU!" she screams whilst wrapping her arms tightly around Garrett's neck. "Andrew told me about what happened, are you okay, d'you need food" she asks eagerly. I laugh as Garrett struggles to find words.

"Elora is the mum friend" I scoff but Elora acts like she doesn't here me and stares at Garrett. "You're very attractive" she blurts out. This makes Garrett go red in the face and he turns to me for an explanation. "Don't worry, Elora's the gayest person I know" I chuckle as Elora gets up from the couch and stands in front of me.

"Well clearly you haven't looked in a mirror" she giggles as she hugs me tightly. Elora turns around to see a thoroughly confused Garrett.

"Oh honey, I should probably tell you how me and Andrew know each other" she says whilst sitting back onto the sofa. Garrett looks at her and she begins speaking. "About when Andrew was 15, I found him beaten in an alleyway with broken ribs and a broken arm. Garrett gasps and looks at me with a horrified expression on his face.

"You could have given him a warning Elora" I say trying to lighten the suddenly tense darkness that had appeared in the atmosphere. Again, she ignores me and continues speaking to Garrett.

"Anyways, I patched him up and we became bestiesss". Garrett nods slowly whilst he stares at the ground.

"There's no need to feel bad Garrett I'm over it" I laugh as Elora stares at him, a little concerned this time. "Hey Gare, let's go do something fun" Elora says, resting her hand on Garrett's. Somehow, she managed to give off a perfect, motherly aura that put everyone at ease. Garrett sat up and smiled before standing up and brushing himself off with his hands.

"You guys wanna go to Taco Bell" he says whilst smiling broadly at Elora.

"THAT'S THE SPIRIT CHAMP, although... I have a feeling I interrupted something she says whilst looking around the room. "What makes you say that?" I ask uncomfortably.

"Weeell, given the time it took for you to open the door you were either asleep or in the middle of something and judgin' by the pancakes on the table, the second option seems the most liable"

I chuckle softly and look at Garrett whilst whispering "Virgos"

Elora slaps me round the head and shouts "I HEARD THAT LEO". She swivels round to face Garrett and asks calmly. "What's your sign?" she asks. Garrett thinks for a second before replying with "Gemini".

"I thought so,, the goofiness is what confirmed it for me" she says whilst admiring him.

"Okaaaaay let's go get Taco Bell" I say loudly and she looks at me scoldingly.

"Go get changed, I'll wait in my Jeep" she leaves without waiting for a reply and Garrett follows me into my bedroom. I pull on black jeans and a hoodie and I throw Garrett a shirt. He seems uncomfortable so I exit the room after saying "See you in the Jeep".
