Rose's POV:

I sat on the dull looking grass that sprung up in patches on the hill a few steps away from the 24/7 convenient store. I was waiting for my sister Sara who had to stop to get who knows what before we could finally head home. It was already 5:30 and it was getting darker by the minute. I knew we would have to hurry because mother would already be worrying about Sara and I. After about ten minutes I got tired of waiting and walked into the store to find my sister. She was in the back next to the freezers and as I approached her she let out an excited squeal.

"Omg! They actually have it this time! Rose is going to be so happy!"

"What am I going to be happy about?" I said startling her.

"Rose! Look! They have that strawberry cheesecake ice cream that you love!"

"Really!" I peered into the freezer and sure enough they had it. "We have to buy some!"

Sara giggled and said, "when it comes to this ice cream you always get so excited. I wish you would get this way about boys too."

"Meh... Relationships are too troublesome... Give me food any day!" I laugh as I see Sara's expression display the most befuddled look I've ever seen.

"Oh well... I guess asking the captain of the soccer team to get interested in boys is too much to ask..." Sara sighed in defeat. After a few seconds she told me that she needed to get a few more things that she insisted must be a surprise. I said okay and she told me to go take a walk or something.

"Fine. But try to be careful okay? You are such a space case that I worry about you a lot..." I told my sister.

"I'll be fine," Sara assured me, "now hurry up and go Rose!"

I made my way out the door and to the back road that led to our house. We lived near the woods so we didn't have any neighbors so I was really surprised when I saw a white van driving up the road. The van slowed and the driver rolled down the window. The driver was an attractive looking man who looked like he was in his twenties. The man called out to me and so I stopped. "I've been driving for awhile now and I think I might be lost... Would you mind giving me some directions miss?"

"Sure thing."

The man steps out of the vehicle and walks over to where I stood. He looked about six foot tall compared to my four foot stature and you could just barely tell that this guy was strong. Or at least stronger than a lot of men that I encounter here in this small town of Roland, Florida. When he spoke his voice was as smooth and sweet as honey. However he wore a smirk that felt very off.

(A/n: Roland is not, as far as I know, an actual place, at least not in Florida.)

He pulled a map out of his pocket that displayed the town and asked me to point out where we were now. I studied the map for a few seconds and his phone rang so he headed back towards the van. A few minutes later I felt a damp cloth forced onto my mouth and nose as another hand wrapped around my body to prevent me from fighting back. I was running out of air trying desperately to hold my breath but soon gave in to the metallic overpowering aroma that filled my mouth and burnt my nostrils. I was gagging on that scent and then everything faded to black.

Sara's POV:

After I sent Rose home I immediately went to the chip and dip isle and picked out a bag of cool ranch Doritos and a jar of mild salsa. Then I moved to the next isle and grabbed two bags of popcorn, a bag of chocolate covered pretzels, and a twelve pack of Sprite. I went back to the freezer section and grabbed a couple tubs of the strawberry cheesecake ice cream that my sister and I love so much. I paid for the stuff and looked at my phone it was already 6:00!

"Crud! Rose is going to be super mad!" I started running.

"I have to get home quickly or else Rose is going to worry". I slow down my pace and take out my cell phone again. I call Rose's phone a couple of times but she doesn't answer. "That's weird... I guess I'll try the house phone next."

I call the house phone and our mother answers.

"Momma?"

"What is it Sara?"

"Is Rose at home with you?" I question worryingly.

"No dear. I thought she was with you. What happened?"

"Nothing momma... We just got separated that's all... Ah! I think I see her! Bye momma, We'll see you later!" I exclaimed and then quickly hung up.

"I'm sorry momma..." I say to myself. Just where could she be...

I head to the back roads and start walking home keeping an eye out for Rose. Soon a white van comes into view and I see a man leaning on it. I must have been staring because he saw me and walked towards me.

"Hey there," the guy greeted, "You sure are carrying a lot. Is it heavy?"

"Kind of," I replied.

"How about I give you a ride?" said the man, conjuring up his sincerest smile.

"I guess it couldn't hurt..."

"Cool. Just let me store your stuff in the back."

I handed him everything and waited by the passenger door. Peering into the window I noticed rope, duct tape, and a knife. I heard the back doors of the van open up and then I ran. I ran as fast as I could but he caught up to me in no time due to his longer legs and longer, quicker strides.

He wrapped his first arm around me and whispered into my ear, "I don't want to bruise my precious little angels, now do I?" A few tears roll down my face as a damp cloth covers my mouth and nose. Then, everything around  me faded to black.

Author's Note:

So I recently read two good books both having the theme of Abductions. I was so into these books that I decided to write my own book. I hope you all like this chapter.

I was inspired by the stories Let Me Go by Oreostbh and Abducted by CatLoverSebastian. Please read their stories!

P.s. the picture is of Sara and Rose (Sara to the left and Rose to the right).
