The echoes of loud music entered TJ's ears as he pulled up to Bryan Richard's already bustling house for the party. Marty looked out the window in the passenger seat. An irritated look rested on his face.
"Looks like half of Grant is already here." TJ rolled his eyes and turned off the car.
"Wow he speaks." Marty bit.
"I told you I didn't want to go Marty." TJ responded, attempting to remain calm.
"Well you seemed like you wanted to go when you replied to Bryan's tweet." Marty said.
"Yeah, but then I remembered the kind of guy that Richards is. You know just as much as I do, he's bad news."
"That was years ago TJ. He's clearly changed. If he was the same guy, Cyrus would've already been used by him." Marty had a point, but TJ wasn't having it.
"I just came because you wanted to." TJ replied and Marty rolled his eyes.
"Wow that's a change. Since when did you ever like doing things cause I wanted to do them?" Marty scoffed to himself.
"Whatever Marty. Go party with all those idiots. Just remember who's there for you." TJ bit back at his boyfriend, although that title didn't seem to fit the two in the current moment.
"Maybe we shouldn't have gotten back together." Marty replied as he angrily unbuckled his seat belt and opened the car door.
"Yeah. We shouldn't have." TJ retorted as Marty slammed the door. He walked away from the car and huffed angrily, putting his hands behind his head.
That didn't last long. Marty thought to himself.
TJ hit his thigh in frustration as he leaned his head on the top of his steering wheel. He groaned and took out his phone.
Meanwhile, Cyrus was busy inside looking for the party's host. Cyrus didn't really enjoy large parties. The loud music, large clumps of people, and the growing mess upped his anxiety. He felt like he had been through every room a million times looking for Bryan.
He soon saw an exasperated Marty bear the front door. Cyrus approached the boy hoping he would know where Bryan was.
"Hey Marty, do you know where Bryan is?" Cyrus asked.
"No clue. I just got here." Marty said without trying to sound bitter from his very fresh encounter with TJ.
"Oh, okay. Thank you anyway." Cyrus smiled weakly and decided he'd look upstairs.
"Cy-Guy!" Jonah said as he exited the upstairs bathroom, his hair clearly wet from him attempting to style it in the bathroom.
"Bad hair day?" Cyrus questioned jokingly.
"I wore down, but decided against the look once I got here." He laughed.
"Always looking to be presentable huh, Jonah Beck?"
