Lula watched Juniper a lot.
She liked how soft he looked, and appreciated that he didn't only want her for her magic.
She walked towards the roaring sea, watching her boyfriend manipulate the waves to resemble sharks, whales, and dolphins.
Even from this far away, she could see how delicately he moved.
Juniper looked up, braids falling down his back in waves.
" Hey!" He signed, not surprised to see a " Coffee Kingdom" bag clutched in his girlfriend's scarred hands.
" Coffee? Thanks!" He signed, morphing the waves around him to make a fairytale castle worthy of legend.
Lula admired the castle in her own quiet way, and handed him his cup.
Juniper sat down on the sand, but seemingly changed his mind and headed towards a stump of driftwood washed up by the tide years before.
" We can drink here." He signed, and Lula beamed. Juniper felt his heart skip a beat. Many people misjudged Lula, thinking her size and fire magic made her scary, but Juniper knew better. Lula was sweet, caring, and curious, and he knew that he would rather die than lose her. Lula's smile widened.
" Thanks Juni." She signed back.
Together by the crashing waves, water and fire watched the sun rise together.
