Ten years have passed since Nathaniel was taken. Ten years of the family being asked what really happened. Being asked if it really was aliens or if they made it up to cover something. This was also ten years of Nathaniel being frozen and fed information. Information of what he was to do when he was thawed out. Some memories being replaced with false memories of being a Zorgath instead of a human. Being fed information that he existed for one purpose only. To help dominate Earth and all that step in the Zorgath's way.
Ten years later when the plan was going to be executed the same scientists that froze the boy were given orders to thaw him out. The ice in the pod starts to melt into water. After a few minutes the pod was filled with water and the boy floating in it.
"Activate life support" one of them instructs. Another scientist flips a toggle switch. Air bubbles form in the pod and as the water drains from the bottom Nathaniel's eyes shoot open. The pod opens and he falls to the metal floor making a big thud. Nathaniel coughs trying to catch his breath as this is the first time in a while he took a single breath. Scientists help him up and he looks around.
"When did I get so tall..." he thinks to himself. The scientists lead him to a chair and run some basic tests. Basic as in the kind they do at a checkup at the doctors. After they completed the basic tests, they get him dried.
"Welcome back, boy." one of them says. Nathaniel awkwardly nods. He feels like something wasn't right. For him it was moments ago he was short and, for some unknown reason, the next he was around six feet tall and oddly comfortable.
"Welcome back?" he says while covering his mouth quickly. He was in shock.
"Why is my voice deeper," he thinks "did I hit puberty?".
The scientists run some scans to see how his heart and other important organs were. All healthy and normal.
"Yes. Welcome back. You, willingly, complied into a ten-year experiment that required you to be in cryostasis." a scientist replied.
"Due to lack of food, your weight is a little under average but that's normal and nothing to worry about." they continued. After some other tests, like endurance and strength, they brought him to a room for him to stay in. It had all basics. A bathroom, a bed, desk with a chair, and a hologram tv and monitor. Nathaniel sits on his new bed and lays down. He starts getting lost in thought.
"Ten years... explains a lot I suppose." he says to himself. He looks out the window and gazes at the passing starts and planets. He sighs and closes his eyes to rest for a little.
