The seven year old ran and ran. She didn't know where she was running to, but she ran.

" Amirah! Amira, you get back here this instance!"

The seven year old, now known as Amirah heard the voice of the headmistress at the door, calling for her to come back, but that only made her run even faster.

"Amirah! Amirah!" The voice of the headmistress became more and more faint the faster Amirah ran and the farther from the orphanage she had gotten.

Her running had gotten slower, she was winded. She slowed her running now that she was in the safety of the woods.

She leaned against a tree, her hand over her heart as she focused on breathing in and out to catch her breath. Her lungs felt as if they were on fire.

No more than four minutes had passed until Amirah's breathing was back to normal.

She leaned her head back against the tree as all her problems begin to surface back to her mind.

" Why do they treat me like this? Why are they so mean to me when I only be nice to them? I know I don't look like everybody else, but that's not a reason to be mean to me, right?" Her thoughts raced around in her head.

Tears begin to sting her eyes once more.

" I don't want to go back. I rather be on my own." Amirah cried out to herself as the tears rolled down her little chubby cheeks.

" Amirah! Amirah where are you?! You come to me this instance!"

Amirah heard the voice of mistress lily yell out to her, and she seemed like she was pretty close.

Amirah did not want to be taken back to the orphanage. Everyone was mean to her. The adults barley helped her when they knew she was being bullied. She rather try life on her own then return to a place where she know she's not wanted.

Amirah pushes herself off of the tree, wiped the tears from her eyes and begin running in the other direction.

She didn't care anymore. She'd rather be on her own then at the orphanage.

She continued running, looking back every other second to make sure she wasn't being followed.

She saw no one behind her, but she continued to run.

Amirah couldn't help the paranoia that was at the back of her mind. She was scared. She didn't want to get caught, so she looked back once again to make sure she wasn't being followed, but before she could turn back around, she had tumbled forward.
