Godzilla stumbled and fell, clutching his leg tightly with pain. He clenched his teeth, panting. His breath came out in long, jagged and raspy gasps. Looking down at the wound hesitantly, he saw his flesh pulsing with pain and heat. Blood was leaking from the jagged impalement, blood darker than any other blood he'd seen before.

"Why is this so damn painful?" Godzilla growled through clenched teeth, swinging his tail. He dug his claws into the ground, carving cashes into the city's concrete ground. Watching his blood spill onto the ground, he felt sick knowing he had to twist his leg back in place. Godzilla curled his lips back into a pained snarl as he roughly dug his claws into his leg. He growled with pain as he shoved his leg forward roughly, twisting it. He then heard a popping sound as white pain came over his vision.

Godzilla looked down, seeing his leg was back in place. Breathing a sigh of relief, he clenched his muscles, preparing to lift himself. He knew it would be painful to do so since he had such a large, jagged hole in his leg. More blood splashed on the ground. Lifting himself by using the side of a building, Godzilla steadily rose.

Godzilla then felt warmth on his skin. He looked up, seeing a dark sky. Behind a large, coal-colored cloud, the sun was peeping, shimmering its warm rays down onto earth. Godzilla could feel the warmth surging through his body. He soaked in the warmth, a slight smile curling on his lips.

In the distance, wings pounded the air. The sound of something flying hung in the air, as well as breathing from the creature. It was large.

Godzilla turned, his tail sliding along the ground. He looked around in the sky, then suddenly saw a large shadow in the distance. Rodan. Godzilla let a growl rumble in his throat, then felt the plates on his tail beginning to glow. As the dorsal plates on his back began to glow bright blue, the charging sound got louder and faster. Rodan's shadow came closer.

Godzilla took in a gulp of air, his gills glowing blue as his atomic tried to force its way out of his mouth. He then unhinged his jaws, a bright blue beam shooting up into the air. It struck something, making a booming sound. Rodan's pained cries filled the air, and soon, the clouds fizzled into mist to reveal Rodan falling, his wings flapping helplessly.

Godzilla stomped over to the fire kaiju as he hit the ground with a loud thud. Rodan's head turned weakly to glance over at the 393ft tall kaiju. He glared at Godzilla and roared, "Stop!"

Godzilla growled. "Why should I stop? You're the one that joined on that golden hydra's side!" He growled, lashing his tail.

"I didn't have much of a choice," Rodan snapped. "King Ghidorah was strong, and I just wanted to have someone strong standing beside me. But... he doesn't want me at his side anymore. I-I'm angry..."

Godzilla pinned Rodan to the ground by his wing. "You attacked Mothra," he whinned. "And then King Ghidorah finished her off himself." He lashed his tail in anger, and at one point, his tail slammed into a building, making it groan as it fell onto the ground. Godzilla narrowed his eyes. "I feel like I'm betraying Earth," he croaked. "I'm supposed to be the one to keep nature in balance, the one that stops all these other kaijus from destroying the planet.."

"You haven't failed yet, Godzilla. Earth hasn't been destroyed yet. But let me tell you, if you don't kill King Ghidorah youself, then nature will never be the same again," Rodan sighed, lifting his head.

"I can't believe that's coming from you," Godzilla growled. He could still feel blood trickling down his face. It was from the wounds that Rodan had caused, and the stupid kaiju had almost blinded him. He narrowed his eyes. "What do you know about the balance of nature? You were just with a kaiju that was trying to ruin it!" He snapped.

"Yeah, and I told you I've left that kaiju. Where he is now, I'm not sure. But he doesn't want allies with him, claiming he's too powerful," Rodan growled.

Godzilla lifted his foot, releasing Rodan from his grip. "Now then, didn't you say something about joining me to defeat that false king?" He asked.

"Yes. I want to help you," Rodan cackled. "It sounds cheap, I know. But... we need more allies if we are going to defeat King Ghidorah."

Godzilla lifted his head to the sky. "I heard that some type of Godzilla is in Japan. He's frozen solid, but I'm not sure if he'd be any help," Godzilla sighed. "Shin Gojira, or Shin Godzilla, whatever you want to call it."

"Is there anyone else you can think of?" Rodan asked. He got up, folding his wings behind him.

"Shin Gojira will be risky. Maybe I could try teaming with all those kaijus that King Ghidorah released with his alpha call," Godzilla suggested to himself. "Whatever, we can find out tomorrow."
