The following book is inspired by the 2001 Baz Luhrman film Moulin Rouge.

It's great to be back with another book! Unlike my first book, Something More, this book is set in a completely different universe to reality- 1900's Paris to be specific. I've been excited for a while to get into something completely AU and this one happens to be based off one of my all time favourite films. Expect drama, romance, fun and a little bit of darkness.
I would suggest watching the film before reading this- it won't help you understand the story more but there will be easter eggs and allusions to the film through quotes, characters, storylines, etc- although it won't be a direct pastiche so don't expect to know how things will turn out just by watching the film! But generally it's just a great must-watch film anyway and will help paint a picture of the world I'm writing in. Up to you though! As Brook would say, "if not that's absolutely fine!"
I'll warn you now and only now about smut, death, violence, and language because honestly this will be pretty tame just due to the style of the book (dw though I will come through with that Randy action I know ya'll want 😉).
