Kim Seokjin x Female Reader:
Confident˚✧₊⁎⁺˳✧༚
Naturally, Jin was confident. He was the one that asked Y/N to go out with him at the zoo during their school field trip; he was the one that planned his dates with her, feeling guilty to put the stress on her no matter how many times she declared it was perfectly fine. With Y/N, he was confident in his actions, always feeling accomplished whenever she smiled brightly and grew flustered by his dad jokes and when he cooked for her.
Hell, he was even confident when he proposed to her in his apartment after their romantic dinner date he spent hours setting up. He wasn't nervous, no, he was confident in everything dealing with the proposal; the red rose petals spiraled everywhere; his cooking; the choice of songs that played as they ate; and even the ring he personally had made to her liking after figuring out her favorite gems and if she preferred silver or gold—and even rose-gold.
In the end, she chose rose-gold. He immediately spent over four hundred dollars to have the ring made. Their initials were engraved on the ring, along with strings that formed hearts, since she'd mentioned those were always adorable, and six hearts with rubies in them for the amount of years they had been together.
He knew that he didn't need to get her something so expensive, that it was the meaning that counted, he knew that. He spent around eighty dollars on their promise rings together at Pandora. Still, the engagement ring itself revealed their time together. To him, that was the meaning, and the cost to him didn't matter. The amount of it didn't even cross his mind, the only thing he could think of was their time together as he told the maker of what he wanted it to be like.
Everything was perfect. No matter how many years they were together, he still tried his best, going full out to never disappoint her. Y/N had mentioned on several occasions that he still acted as if he was trying to still win her over, and that she found it admirable and adorable at the same time.
"You know how many times I've needed to sneak out to see you," Y/N said with a small laugh.
He hummed, his eyes locked on her as he traced his fingers along her bare back. After a few moments, a small smile tugged the corner of his lips. "I'm not entirely sure," he admitted, "but either way, he can't just say, 'I don't want you marrying my daughter.' He technically can't stop you since we're not minors."
"He can literally say that, Jin," she whined, pressing her head against his chest. "I still want his approval...I want him to walk me down the aisle at our wedding. Even if he doesn't approve, he's my dad and I do want him there."
Jin frowned. He couldn't help but feel guilty for even thinking about her father not showing up. He placed his hand on her hair and stroked it. "Don't worry about it, love. I'll convince him, I promise."
