Hannah's POV~2:00 am~ September 3rd, 1943

to a slight tapping on my shoulder, I rolled over to see little Claire at my bedside, looking very scared, "what's wrong" I asked, "I had a nightmare," the little girl with golden curls said, I sat up, "Can tell me a story" she asked politely, I nodded, I moved over to let Claire lay with me in bed, "Once upon a time..."

As I finished up my bedtime story for Claire, I looked down to see she was sleeping, I heard a loud 'slam!' from a door downstairs, I gently peeled myself away from Claire's body gently, I quickly and quietly went downstairs, there stood Jake panicked, "What the hell was that!" I yelled, "Emma's... floating away... I tried... to catch... her... but I... couldn't," he said still trying to catch his breath, "Go outside and keep track of her, I'll get everyone," I said quickly, Jake ran off, I ran downstairs to the basement, I banged loudly On Enoch's door, it opened showing a very pissed off enoch, "What?!-" I cut him off, "Outside, no time!" He ran outside, I ran upstairs banging on everyone's door yelling, 'Outside, no time!'

I ran outside with the other and the bird, "Emma!" Jake yelled pointing at the small dot in the dark sky, "Emma! What the hell?!" Enoch yelled, "Fiona, Bronwyn! Help me!" I yelled out, they nodded, "Fiona can you help me get up that tree closest to Emma" I asked, she nodded, I was soon pulled up close enough where I could grab the snapped rope that was hanging from Emma's waist, I clung onto the rope for dear life, we began to float down, we were almost to the ground, "Bronwyn can you pull me and Emma down," I yelled, she nodded towards me, she jumped up and pulled me and Emma down onto the ground, I grabbed Emma by the shoulders to keep her from floating away, I handed Emma her weighted boots, then let go of her shoulders once she got one of them on

"Emma, why in hell were you floating toward the moon, and most importantly why were you even outside!" I questioned

"Well, my window was open, and it was really windy, and my dress that in my wardrobe was getting pulled outside and into the wind, so I ran outside to get it, I tied the rope that was around my waist onto a nearby tree, I unbuckled my shoes and I started to float up and then my peculiarity was too strong and the rope snapped, and then I started to float up and I couldn't get down," She answered, "Don't do that again, Emma, Okay," I ordered her, she nodded,

We all got inside, "Wow, nothing like that has happened in years," I laughed, Katherine sent a questioning look towards me, "What happened," Little Olive asked, I crossed my arms

"Well, when I was about five, Katherine decided that we should play hide-n-seek, so I agreed, and since I was the 'younger one' in Katherine's mind, I would count"

"so I counted and then I went off to find her, I couldn't find her for about half an hour, so I got mom and dad, and we searched for hours trying to find her, until we checked the attic and there she was, reading Tales of the Peculiar, at six years old, once she put down the book, I asked her 'how'd she get up there' she told me that because she was really tall she could reach the string that pulls the attic ladder down and she just hid there for hours, and then claimed that she was 'the master of hide-n-seek,' I never played with her ever again," I finished

"I remember that day," she said laughing lightly, I rolled my eyes, "Okay, children, go back to your rooms," Miss P ordered, we blatantly agreed,

Once I got to my room, I plopped down on my bed, still thinking about the kids that me and Enoch had about two weeks ago and I felt my eyelids get heavy, I finally drifted off to sleep
