Chapter Two

Camila's POV

I arrive to school just in time for form (A/N- It's kinda like homeroom or w.e y'all call it) and sit down at the back of the room next to my best friend of 7 years, Dinah Jane. The first time we met was quite funny because we both were arguing about who was going to go on the slide first. But afterwards we became the best of friends and ever since then we have been inseparable. She was like my sister from another mister.

"Hey," she playfully punches me while grabbing a chair.

I open my mouth wide, pretending to look shocked and hurt by her actions, "Ow Dinah! That really hurt!" I laugh and she smiles.

"Aww is my little mila hurt?" She hugs me tight and laughs.

"Miss Cabello and Miss Hansen, please be quiet." Our form teacher snaps at us. What a way to start the day. We both nod our heads and shut our mouths for the rest of form.

After the many notices and names being called out, we were finally let out.

"DJ, what subjects do you have this semester?" I ask, pulling my time table out from my bag.

"Um I have Physics, Music, Chemistry and Biology, English, Maths C and Dance. You?" Dinah says without looking up.

"Great we have 5 classes together apart from Dance. You know me, I can't dance at all." I shrug.

"I know chancho, I know." Dinah rubs my arm up and down, pretending to comfort me.

We both start heading to the science block which was a two minute walk from our form class and get our books out.

"Do you think this will be a good year?" Dinah asks randomly.

"Hmm, maybe. I guess it's really up to us to make it a good year right?" I reply.

"True that mila. When did you become so deep?" Dinah laughs and I smile.

"Okay my year 12 class, please come inside and get yourself prepared. Don't sit down on any desks, I have a seating plan prepared." Mr Jacobs our Physics teacher says, directing us to come inside. I hear a few groans while walking to the room.

"Can I please get Dinah, Normani, Ally, Orlando and Hailey to fill the front row please. And the next will be, Mark, Hudson, Emmett, Gwen and Harper. Next, Brooklyn, Faith, Quinn, Julian and Beau. And the back row, Cruz, Aiden, Grace, Lauren and last but not least, Camila. Alright, this will be your seating plan for the first 2 weeks. Thank you." Mr Jacobs says and everyone moves quickly to their seats.

Sadly Dinah and I aren't sitting together and the only person I have is some girl named Lauren who is currently not here. Great, my first class and I'm a loner. I hope Dinah makes new friends though, we need some new friends.

-Lunch-

Thankfully the first 3 classes flew by. Sitting in a class for 70 minutes is a pain in the ass, especially when you have no one to talk to. In all of my classes that I've had so far, Lauren is seated next to me. I don't know why but Im glad that she's in my Physics, Music and Chemistry class, it means that I don't have to talk to anyone else. But I have absolutely no idea who this Lauren is or what she looks like.

"Chancho, I want to you to meet my new friends. Normani, Ally, Orlando and Hailey. Can they sit with us?" Dinah introduces me to her new friends and I smile from ear to ear, happy that she made new friends.

"Of course, any friend of DJ's is a friend of mine." I shook their hands and gave them hugs.

"So, are you both related or something?" Hailey asks Dinah and I. Her long and wavy blonde hair covers a bit of her face, hiding her light blue eyes. There was a hint of freckles spread across her nose.

"Nooo," I laugh, "Dinah and I have been friends since we were 10." I reply, receiving an 'oh' and a nod from everyone.

"Do you have any siblings?" I ask her, trying to get the conversation flowing.

"Yeah actually, it's this dweeb right here." Hailey points at Orlando who smiles widely.

"No way. That's so cool!" I say surprised. Not many siblings are that close.

"Yeah as a matter of fact we're twins. Hail's the older twin though." Orlando says nodding his head.

"Really? That is actually pretty neat!" Dinah says while making a 'not bad' face.

"Yeah, Ally and I thought the same when we first met them. Isn't that right Ally boo?" Normani says and Ally, a smaller girl than me nods and smiles.

"So do you guys want to head off to English now? Class starts in about 3 minutes so we better get going." Ally asks and we all get up and start walking to our last period for the day.

-Afterschool-

"Sorry guys, I would love to hang out but I have to take care of my little sister." I frown, I really want to get to know them better, they seem like really nice people.

"Aww okay. Well I guess we'll see you tomorrow." Hailey hugs me and so do the others.

"See you guys. Have fun!" I say before walking out of the English room and head to work.

As soon as I open the door, I'm met with a strong embrace from my little sister.

"Hey Princess, how was your day?" I ask and kiss her forehead.

"Kaki you were right! Mrs Jauregui's the nicest teacher ever! She's so fun and she lets us have free time after we finish our work!" Sofi explodes with excitement and happiness.

"Aww that's great to hear Sof! Are you tired? Because we can head home if you want."

"Yeah, Im a bit tired. But can I please get a flower for Mrs Jauregui?" Sofi asks with a wide smile on her face.

"Sure, give her a sunflower. It represents happiness and I'm sure she'll be happy when she sees it." I suggest and she nods her head. She walks over to the sunflowers and picks one out.

"We'll make sure it doesn't die before tomorrow okay?" I say, making Sofi smile.

"Okay you get in the car now, Ill be there in a minute. I have to talk to Spencer."

I walk over to Spencer who is reading a book at the counter.

"Spence, thank you so much for getting Sofi. How can I repay you?" I thank Spencer and kiss her cheek.

"It was no problem mila. And no need to pay me back. It's the least I can do. Hehe, Ill see you tomorrow okay?" Spencer hugs me and I nod.

"See you Spence. Take care." I say before heading out the door and into the car.

"Let's go home Sof." I turn the car on and head home.
