„Take a chance. You never know what might happen. "
Change. It's a scary word. The future holds many different scenarios and what gives you the knowledge that you will get what you want, what you need? Nothing. No guarantee, that your choice is right. Sometimes you just have to risk something good to get something amazing. And it's scary. So fucking scary.
To say that Jeon Jungkook was nervous and a bit terrified of changing university was a complete understatement. New town, new people, new everything. So much stress he would have to go through.
Again, he asked himself why the ever-loving fluff he decided to leave his old university and friends behind to go to another one with a slightly better reputation. Well yes, he had slightly better chances for a future job, but was that really worth all the stress? He wasn't sure. Suddenly he wished he could just tell the taxi driver to turn around and drive him back to the train station so he could go home again and act as if nothing had happened. To his dismay he knew that he couldn't.
Don't get him wrong. It's not like he was worried about not getting any friends or being hated and an outsider. It's not like that. Everyone who knows Jungkook would describe him as an attractive and charming young 20-year-old and he knew that. He never found it hard to get friends and respect, but it was all so stressful to have to adapt to an entire brand-new environment and he wasn't sure if he had the energy right now.
With an already stressed sigh Jungkook lifted his two heavy suitcases out of the taxi's trunk and payed the awkward driver, who left immediately as if he was in a rush.
Jungkook rolled his eyes in annoyance, before taking his suitcases and rolling them over the uneven ground. It was burning hot. The campus was full of students, eating their lunch, enjoying the current sunshine and studying. The fact that Jungkook changed university two months after the original start wasn't the best choice either. It meant everyone already knew each other, so he would stand out as the new guy, which wasn't a very pleasant thought for him. Although he was quite attractive and confident, he didn't particularly enjoy too much attention.
Just as Jungkook speed walked around a corner he almost crashed into someone.
"Oh sorry.", he quickly apologized and took a step back to give his vis-à-vis a little bit more personal space. When no answer was heard he looked up a little bit confused. What he saw was not what he was expecting to see on his first day at his new university.
A black-haired, tall guy with lots of muscles had another grey, curly-haired and way slimmer guy pressed against the wall, violently making out.
"Jesus!", Jungkook whisper-shouted out of surprise, "get a fucking room."
The making-out session abruptly ended and tall guy let go of the grey-haired one, glaring in Jungkook's direction, as if he was ready to murder.
"Mind your own business, idiot." His eyes went back to the other guy and he grumbled lowly: "Let's finish this somewhere else." Then he just slowly walked off into the direction of the parking lot.
Jungkook watched him walk away and vanishing in the distance. It took him a while to notice that the grey, curly-haired guy still didn't move. Jungkook looked to him and saw that the other's eyes were already eyeing him from head to toe.
Finally their eyes found each other's and for a second Jungkook was speechless, because of his intense but so pretty eyes.
The grey-haired guy gave him a smirk.
"Want to join?"
What? Jungkook wasn't sure if he had heard him correctly. For a second, he felt his face get red, but he quickly collected himself again. Weird guy. It was obviously just a joke. Not a funny one though.
