With courage and determination she got up. She could still hear the ear-splitting screech, However it had changed to more of a sob and with that, she started to venture towards the sound. Every flicker of light made Emberry blink her eyes. A little elf sat singing a beautiful melody. The screaming seemed to grow quieter with each closer step. " hello, who are you? " the little elf said in a soothing tone she patted the rock beside her.
Without waiting for an answer, she continued. " Isn't it such a spectacular view." Taken aback Emberry slid down until she was sitting beside the figure.
The girl's name was Lilac she was 12 and ¼ years old. She has flame-coloured hair that goes down to just below her shoulders in ringlets. She has nutmeg coloured eyes and a pointed chin. She is small for her age. She was wearing a loose dress the colour lilac with flowers painted on it.
"Umm well I'm Emberry and yes the view is spectacular!" She replied a bit overwhelmed. The elf started to get up and bow. Chanting something like " all hail queen Emberry, all hail queen Emberry" Confused Emberry replied "im just plain Emberry not the queen." With a clap of the elves hands, Emberry found herself in an ornate and beautiful palace with marble floors and vines snaking up all the walls. " What is the meaning of this, You dare to disrupt me Liliac!" A guy sitting on a throne bombed. " Sorry, sir," Lilac said bowing. I bowed too unsure of what to do. "This girl is the queen she's back and ready to take the throne." Lilac squeaked trying to be calm. " How do you know!" The guy yelled. " She has the mark and her name is Emberry," Lilac replied. What mark, I wondered, were they talking about my birthmark? Linda said that my birth mother had one the same as mine. Lilac pushed me towards the guy on the throne. I hesitated but went towards him anyway. He inspected me, he prodded and poked me then proclaimed it is her the queen returned to save us all. He jumped up and grabbed her, Lifting her of my feet and taking Emberry to a humongous bedchamber in what looked like a kauri tree. When her head hit the soft bamboo pillow she fell asleep.
