The school day finished up and I still haven't talked to Rose Or Juleka. Do they just expect me to-
"Lauri! I'm hungry! Get me a snack! Please!" Zev whined. I knew I had some spare grapes in my lunch bag.
"Hold on Zev. You know you can't be seen around here-"
"Hi Lauri!"
"I'll give you the grapes later. Hide,"
"But-" and with that I shut my bag and walked up to Rose.
"Yeah. So...I take it we're going to your house now?" I said scratching the back of my neck.
Rose and Juleka just giggled. Was something on me? Did I say something wrong?
"Silly you. Remember that I said that we're going to the bakery?" she said.
What?...This wasn't mentioned. Though it does sound delicious. I could probably get Zev a snack and my father a slice of chocolate cake.
"Pardon?..." I shook myself out of the daze I was in.
"The ba-ker-y?" Rose sounded it out so maybe I would understand.
"Yeah...lets just go..." I said kinda glumly as I began to follow the two.
"So newbie. You enjoy your first day?" Juleka spoke for the first time to me.
"Yeah. It's school so it couldn't get any worse-"
Why did I say anything. At that moment I saw what could be a UFO flying around. This is my time to rule!
"Sorry! I forgot I had Uh...to take care of my father!" and with that I ran before they could say anything else.
I quickly hid behind a small building away from civilization.
"Zev, on the prowl!"
