(So firstly: Descendants 3 Spoilers up ahead, but I'll try to make it as non-descriptive as I can, but the song itself is already a spoiler, so...)

It was an entirely normal day at school. Or at least as normal as it could be since Lila returned to school. Because not even a week after the seating arrangement was changed back to normal because of Lilas miraculously cured tinitus, she pretended that her tinitus returned while explaining that "it was probably Chat Noir's bad luck that interfered with Ladybug's Miraculous Cure". That meant of course that the old arrangement was put back in place banishing Marinette alone to the back of the classroom. Only this time... Adrien didn't do anything about it. Adrien and Lila generally seemed to be getting closer recently. She was the only person in her class being allowed by Monsieur Agreste to attend parties with him, visit him at home and several other things, so it's only natural that they'd be getting closer. That didn't mean that Marinette had to be thrilled about it. Not like everyone else in the class seemed to be who suddenly started to ship Lila and Adrien together. Marinette expected this to be the case since her old friends generally rarely spoke to her anymore, but it honestly still hurt that even her best friend took the side of a girl she only met a few times over the best friend she hung out with almost 24/7. So Marinette could nothing do about the whole situaion but watch her whole life crumble around her if she didn't want to help Lila even mor with destroying her reputation by calling her out on her lies. Adrien might have said that they shouldn't do something to expose Lila as long as her lies didn't hurt anybody... but he must've been to blind not to see that it was hurting Marinette. Or he just stopped caring like everyone else... Marinette trusted Lila to even enstrange her own parents if she ever met them at this point. So she was barely more than a zombie nowadays when she was at school. Even her energy seemed to be down recently and that even though she got enough sleep and Akumas were low, she had no explanation for it whatsoever.

But then one thing happened Marinette was actually thankful for, it doesn't matter how much she despised that Lila did it. She was already with her energy to it's limit after physics class, but still somehow had to get through literature and thought she would totally be sleeping in that class even though a test was coming up... when Lila complained during that class that no one had thought of her birthday that was supposedly this day (like it has been 3 times already this year) which caused Madame Bustier to allow the children to watch a movie together instead of having class since they apparently were a little faster than the other classes. Luckily for Marinette it was even a movie she was interested in: Descendants 3. Not that Marinette would remember much in her sleep deprived state.

The whole class was enjoying the movie until suddenly something very unexpected happened. Right with the cut to Audrey sitting alone in her room, a pink ray of light shot out of the projection on the wall... and hit Marinette directly who was suddenly sitting completely upright and not tiredly slumped in her seat anymore. All the people in class were staring wide eyed at the raven haired girl... until she suddenly spoke perfectly in sync the next words the Princess on screen said.

"I'm so tired of pretending... where's my happy ending..." was heard through the otherwise silent classroom.

"Marinette...?" Madame Bustier tried hesitantly unsure if it was an Akuma or not.

"I followed all the rules, I drew inside the lines, I never asked for anything that wasn't mine, I waited patiently for my time, but when it finally came... he called her name." Marinette and Audrey said at the same time, Marinette sending seemingly unaware a dirty look to Lila.

"And now I feel this overwhelming pain. I mean it's in my veins! I mean it's in my brain! My thoughts are running in a circle like a toy train. I'm kinda like a perfect picture with a broken frame..." Marinette said now walking around the room until suddenly an awfully similiar picture frame to the one Audrey held in the movie materialised in her hand.
