Fiona Goode hated many things, but nothing made her more angry than being contradicted, no matter the reason. So of course you knew you were in trouble when you stood by Cordelia's side during a discussion about the new students in the Academy and how the Supreme should be more present in their lifes – and not taking her girlfriend to travels around the world.
You could see Cordelia's point and it made so much sense that it didn't even crossed your mind that Fiona wouldn't agree with it, or that the three of you would get stuck in a discussion that would lead to you choosing a side to fight for.
And if you had to be honest with yourself, and Fiona, the idea of staying in the Academy again sounded good to you. Not that you didn't liked to see every place around the globe, neither it meant that you didn't wanted to spent time with Fiona like that, but you two had been traveling together for almost three years and come back home sounded so nice when Cordelia mentionated it.
Looking back, you just wished you would have said that when you two were alone, because now you had to deal with a very mad and very cold Fiona leaving Cordelia's office with a loud noise from her heels.
"I'm not going to ask what I did this time, I know." Joking with Fiona was... weird. Both of you could start a conversation filled with sarcastic and snap comments and it would be fine, but Fiona never understood the concept of joking just for fun. Comments made for laugh didn't worked with her, simply because she didn't get it.
Fiona was walking fast, still elegant, like she owned the whole world, and pulling a cigarette out of the pack, but she didn't answered you when she entered your room and started to pack.
"Come on, Fiona." You wanted to roll your eyes so bad because of her attitude, but you knew it would only make things worst. "Is not like I don't have a reason to agree with Cordelia. If you hadn't started to scream at us, you might had heard it before you judge my choise." Fiona didn't scream, actually. She didn't have to. In fact, you have see Fiona angry multiple times – most of them weren't with you – but she never raised her voice. Fiona had a different way to scream. She screamed with words, not with her voice.
And, man, could she scare someone with it.
You sighed, sitting in the bed next to her suitcase. "I love traveling with you. We sure met some amazing places, you know. I love when you take me to a new place and we try all the different things that place can offer us, and how you choose the best hotel, with the best bed." You moved your eyebrowns with a smirk, but she just kept throwing her stuff inside the bag. "But you can't tell me that you don't miss it."
Fiona turned around to grab some shoes from her closet, not even looking at your direction. "This place, you know." You clarified. "To wake up everyday in the same room and have breakfast with people we actually know." You arched one eyebrown when she kept ignoring your presence. "I love our life, Fiona, don't get me wrong, but why can't we... live like a normal couple? Just for a while."
She still wasn't talking to you, but you could hear a scoff coming from her. "Cordelia is right and I know you hate to admit it. With Zoe here, the Academy have four students and Cordelia is only one. Not that I don't think she can't deal with that, is just... They learn about their Supreme, Fiona." You sighed one more time, moving your legs in the air to stop yourself to walk to her. "But they never see you. Nan just met you this week, and she's a part of this Coven for almost a year."
"I'm not a baby-sitter." Progress. Her voice was deep with rage and you could see her hands shaking a little, but you weren't scared of her.
Never. "No, but you're supposed to be their role model." A small smiled cracked your face, even if Fiona's back was still facing you. "Just picture it, ok? Us, in this bed, sleeping until a normal time, going down to eat with everyone." You finally got up, closing her suitcase before walking to her. "Us, having a home, living together."
"Together with a dozen other people." She shot back, rolling her eyes while sorting her coats.
"Not different if we leave to another trip tomorrow." You careful put one hand on her bare arm, stroking the soft skin beneath your thumb. "Fiona, I want to have a home with you, even if a thousand more people join us, because I want to spoil you with breakfast in bed, I want to have lazy days in our bed, I want to have a permanent room where you can put all of your clothes in and where I can use one or two drawers to put mine." Her hands had stoped moving and even if Fiona still wasn't looking at you, you know you had won the discussion. "We can be our little family, what do you think?"
"I would give you a kiss, but I'm not talking to you right now." Fiona's voice still was sharp, but she had moved her hand to place on top of yours.
The victory smile on your face would be ripped off if she was facing you. "Is okay, I can wait."
