"I've gotta go, baby," Jimmy whispered into your ear as you both lay under the thin sheet you called a blanket. You looked down, your smile completely disappearing from your face. You nodded your head and flipped over before Jimmy could see the tears starting to pool at your eyes. You heard Jimmy sigh, "Y/n, don't be that way, please," He pleaded, "You know I would stay if I could." You didn't answer.

You knew you were acting a bit childish, but you also knew that this would also be the last time you and Jimmy would be doing this. As much as you wanted to cuddle and kiss him, you're afraid that you will change your mind about stopping this whole thing. You loved him so much, but you knew that what you were doing was wrong. He had a wife at home. She should be in his arms right now, not yours.

"Jimmy," you said as you sat up on the bed, grabbing the sheet and using it to cover yourself, "I think it's about time we stop this," the look on Jimmy's face told you that that was the last thing he expected.

He furrowed his brows, "What?" he grabbed your hands, "Y/n, baby, I love you. We can't sto-"

"You're not supposed to." you interrupted him.

He looked at you with puppy dog eyes, "I'm not supposed to do what? Love you? Y/n, doll, you're my whole world."

Just hearing him say that filled you with so much happiness yet so much guilt at the same time. You felt sick at hearing that you were his world, when the woman who gave her life to him was sat at home by herself, probably wondering where the hell he was. You know he loves her. You can see it in his eyes whenever they are together. He looks at her with so much love and adoration when she does anything. He never looks at you that way, no matter how much he claims to love you.

"What about your wife? Jimmy, she loves you. I know you love her," you looked down again as the tears started pouring from your eyes.

Jimmy cradled your face with his hands, using his thumbs to wipe your tears away, "Of course I love her. She was my first love. I married her for God's sake," you started to move away, his words were breaking your heart, 'But, I don't love her like I love you, not anymore. Even when I did, it wasn't as strong and passionate as my love for you."

As much as his words tempted you, you knew that you couldn't keep doing this. At least not while he was still with her, "Jimmy, I love you so much," He smiled at your words, thinking he had gotten you to stay, "But, you married her for a reason. You love her. I see the way you act towards her. I see the way your eyes light up when she smiles. I see how her laugh brings a smile to your face. A smile that I only see when you are around her. You belong with her."

Jimmy shakes his head, though you saw the sparkle in his eyes when you spoke about her - or, at least, you thought you did, "No, I lo-" you cut him off.

"You may love me, but you love her more," Jimmy rubbed at his face, trying desperately to hide the tears, "That's why you need to leave," his shoulders shook with sobs at your words, "You need to go home," you spoke. Jimmy wasn't trying to hide his tears anymore, "You need to go back to her," Jimmy started to speak, but you held up your hand, signaling for him to stop, "Go, Jimmy."

Jimmy slowly got up from the bed. You sat back as you watched him get dressed for the last time. You wanted to soak up every last second you would see him like this. Right now, at this moment, he was yours; even if he wasn't.

Jimmy looked at you one last time. You saw the corners of his mouth twitch up, trying to smile, but it vanished as quickly as it came. He nodded his head at you, walking out the door of your house for the last time.
