Purpose {book 1}

Part 10

Ahsoka and anakin fought across an unstable part of the castle and it plunged into the lava before they could escape. Ahsoka raced anakin to the top and deactivated Obi wans  lightsaber. Ahsoka now held on to her life as below her was an angry sith and a lake full of lava. Ahsoka ignited the sapphire blade once more for defense. Their lightsabers clashed once more until ahsoka noticed a lava-fall ahead. Wide-eyed, she grabbed onto a rope, flipped, and landed onto a zero gravity square platform. Anakin seeing his former padawan jump down found a small droid and jumped onto it, grabbing onto its surface to balance himself.

"I'm sorry anakin!" Ahsoka yelled over the lava. "I'm sorry I left and I'm sorry I wasn't there for you!"Ahsoka added. "It's too late for apologies ahsoka, my alligence is with the emperor. And when I'm done, the Jedi will be extinct. And you and obi wan with them." Anakin death stared the togruta. His glaring yellow eyes staring into Ahsoka's blue irises.

"Anakin please! This isn't you!" Ahsoka pleases for her master to come back, but of course, failed. "Isn't it?! I chose my path ahsoka. It's time you choose yours." The two platforms circled each other in silence. "This is the end for you ahsoka." Ahsoka closed her eyes and prepared her exhausted body to fight once more.

Anakin flipped vigorously over to Ahsoka's platform and swung at the exhausted togruta. Both grunted at each blow, and clashed their lightsabers until they locked, creating a blinding blue light.  Ahsoka stared and clenched her teeth at the sith, anakin did the same. Ahsoka pushed back and flipped onto the higher ground. "Anakin, you lose. Surrender now." Ahsoka demanded firmly. "You underestimate my power, Ahsoka." Ahsoka frightened, answered back. "Anakin please don't do it." She warned the sith. As she spoke, she sensed a familiar presence coming in from behind. Anakin flipped, and was struck down by a white blade.

Obi wan.

Anakin slid down the rough ground of mustafar, above him was a broken togruta staring at her lost master. Ahsoka dropped to her knees and deactivated Obi wans lightsaber, gasping at everything she'd done. Tears melted her face in sorrow. The sith let out a bloodcurdling scream of pain. "Anakin, I loved you as a brother. You meant everything to me," Ahsoka paused and reaches out to the sith. " I know you're still in there, Anakin.....Please, please don't go like this, skyguy."

Anakin moaned from the pain and his body started to go up in flames. Startled, ahsoka got up and refused to look at Anakin's weak, burning body. His screams plagued Ahsoka's mind as his flesh burned in the lava. Ahsoka let out a whimper at anakins horrific screams.  A raspy call sounded behind the two former Jedi. "Ahsoka...Master.." he paused. Ahsoka and obi wan turned around. Anakins yellow irises fluttering through his hidden blue. "Help me, please..." But then changing permanently to gold.

Ahsoka closed her eyes and looked away in refuse. "I'm sorry anakin, but I cannot." Tears ran down Obi wans face. "I hate you!" He screamed at the togruta and the former Jedi. "You were my brother anakin, I loved you." Obi wan stared at anakin for one last time. Then ahsoka heard whispers, and those whispers called out to her from Anakins lightsaber. Puzzled she gripped the saber, glanced back at Anakin, and then walked back to the ship with Obi wan.

Artoo beeped at the togruta, wondering where his master was. "He's gone artoo..." she trailed off while picking up and admiring Anakins lightsaber hilt. She thought of the memories of when they fought together as master and padawan. She failed anakin, but she couldn't help but think about what her older form told her, 'But there is still hope for anakin skywalker, in the future.' But how and when was an a-million dollar question.

A calm voice interrupted ahsoka from her thoughts. "I believe these belong to you," obi wan handed ahsoka her white lightsabers. "Thank you," exchanging her white sabers for Obi wans blue saber. "Quite the rare crystal they contain, how did you get them?" Obi wan asked intrigued, trying to steer the young girl away from the situation they just faced. "It's a long story..." Ahsoka looked down. Obi wans attention was caught by Anakins lightsaber sitting in Ahsoka's lap. "You grabbed it." Obi wan spoke as he looked back at ahsoka. She nodded. "I have a feeling the force has something in store for this." She glanced at the hilt once more and then clipped it onto her belt with her other two lightsabers.

Obi wan and ahsoka traveled to polis massa so padme could recive medical attention. Obi wan carried padme in bridal style off the ship, ahsoka following behind. "Take her to the medical center, quickly!" Bail Organa spoke to Obi wan.

"Medically she's perfectly healthy. For reasons we can't explain, we are losing her." The medical droid said gravely. "She's dying," ahsoka said with worry in her expression. "We don't know why, but she has lost the will to live. We must operate quickly if we are to save the babies." The medical droid added, adding sadness to Ahsoka's expression. "Babies?" Bail Organa asked. "She's carrying Twins." The medical droid answered.

Before walking in, Obi wan stared inside the room looking at the pregnant woman deep in thought. He felt like something was in store for these children, ahsoka felt the same way. 'Nothing happens by accident', his old masters words ran through his mind. The medical droid brought out one child, a boy. "Luke." That name ran through Ahsoka's head. Then the vision came back. The stolen child on tatooine. That baby was him, Luke skywalker.

Obi wan put the crying child close to his mother, smiling with padme at the baby boy. "Oh Luke," she smiled.
The medical droid brought out the second child, Ahsoka held her. "It's a girl." She told padme. "Leia," Padme smiled with ahsoka at the newborn.

"There's still good in him," the dying ex-senator said to the two former Jedi, breathing heavily. "I know, I know there's....still..." Padme exhaled one last time. Ahsoka looked at the dead senator with sadness, then she glimpses back at the crying children. She finally realized why she was sent here. She finally realized her purpose, the force wants her to protect the children, especially the boy. They are the galaxys last hope. They can bring back Anakin Skywalker.

"Hidden safe the children must be." Yoda spoke to Obi wan and ahsoka. "Where the sith can't sense their presence." Bail Organa spoke. "Take the girl you can, mr Organa." Yoda spoke to the man. He smiled at the master Jedi. Oh how his wife and himself always wanted a baby girl. "My wife and I  will take care and raise her on Alderaan." Bail smiled. "What should we do with the boy?" Obi wan asked master Yoda. Yoda paused then looked at ahsoka. "You Mrs Tano, raise him you can." Ahsoka looked at the master with shock. She never toke care of a child before. "But I've never taken care of children before, much less a child." ahsoka told the Jedi.

"Commander." A familiar clone spoke up, smiling at ahsoka. "I can help." Rex exchanged a smile with ahsoka. "I will take the child and raise him on an outer-rim planet." Ahsoka glanced at Rex. Obi wan stared and smiled at the two. If anyone was worthy enough to take care of a skywalker boy, it was them. "Settled it is then." Yoda dismisses the group.

After being dismissed, ahsoka pulled Rex into a bone crushing hug. He chuckled slightly then spoke, "Its good to see you little 'un." Ahsoka pulled away.  "You too Rexer." She smiled genuinely and picked up Luke. "So he's the generals son huh?" He looked at the baby boy, who hid his face in the blanket he was curled up in. "Yea," she trailed off, smiling at the child. "He's quite the looker, much like his father." Rex looked at ahsoka who then smiled slightly. They boarded the ship and set the coordinates for Raada.

"These children are our last hope." Obi wan spoke to Yoda. "No, there is another."
