Liquid Courage (Taishiro Toyomitsu x Reader)

It was just another day on the scene with the heroes. They had caught a group of villains that were robbing some local small shops.  The police unit you were in had you go around collecting statements from the owners and any witnesses, while they were chatting away with the heroes after they loaded up the villains. This annoyed you at times. You were usually the only to collect statements and afterward see if anyone needed assistance with clean up. The other guys in your group focused on asking the villains questions once you got back to the station. You actually didn't mind doing reports and collecting statements but it would help the whole process move faster if a couple of them helped a bit with it. They did help every once in a while but some times they wouldn't be clear in what they wrote down and when you asked for clarification they would say they couldn't remember those details. The other problem is that they never actually bothered learning how to do this the right way. 

This time you were not too annoyed. The reason for this was that there was a certain, somewhat oblivious, BMI hero on site today. He was chatting with the guys while you finished taking the last statement. After putting away your pen and notebook you walked over to the group.

"Yo, Tanaka-san. It took you long enough." One of the guys joked.

"Well, this would be done a lot more quickly if one or two of you learned how to do this correctly and help me out. You know, rather than just running your mouths?" You shot at the group.

They all avoided eye contact with you, know what you stated was in fact truth. You looked over at Taishiro, who was grinning at the fact that you just shut the guys up with that statement. 

"Masako-chan, maybe you should be nicer to them." Taishiro chuckled as the guys started heading back to their vehicles. You actually still had to get a statement from the BMI hero. You made him the last person in hopes to make this attempt to get his attention work.

You have been trying hard to get Taishiro to realize that you were crushing on him hard. You actually worked with him when he was still in the force and he guided you along in your training. You slowly started to get feelings for him and once he became a hero those feeling grew tremendously. Seeing his passion for his work and saving people was admirable. You were a bit jealous since you were born without a quirk but you didn't mind your job. You still got to help people and, from time to time, work alongside the plump hero.

You hints to the hero never got through though. Some days you would try to make it obvious that you were flirting but the giant man would just laugh thinking that you were just joking around as usual. You tried closing the distance with him one time hoping to maybe grab is hand to drop the hint there but he thought that maybe you were cold and gave you his jacket. As an act of small revenge, you kept the jacket and never returned it to the hero. He didn't seem to mind though as he had extras back at his office. You even gave chocolates to only him on Valentine's Day, heart-shaped ones even, and he thanked you, saying you were a great friend. At first, you thought you were friend-zoned until one of the guys in your unit said that Taishiro just didn't know that you were trying to display your affection. So today you were going to try to get him to join you for drinks and at that time confess to him. 

Even though the guys in your unit knew of your crush, it was still kind of embarrassing to confess to the hero in front of the group. Not only that but you felt that it added unnecessary pressures to the person being confessed to. You took a deep breath and looked at the hero.

"Say, Tai-kun. Do you want to grab some drinks tonight?" You asked smiling shyly. You knew that there had to be a blush on your face but you didn't care.

"Oh, sure that sounds fun! Hey guys!" Taishiro called to the men over at their vehicles. You felt the color drain from your face as you looked at him in total horror.
