The sound of two swords meeting reverberated throughout the room. knocking Annaliese out of focus and forcing her eyelids apart. At first her eyes weren't focused enough to be able to make out the figure in front her, but when they did become focused she took a sharp intake of the clammy air at the sight before her eyes.

Panic surged through her entire body when she was faced with a tall and smirking figure stood opposite her; however she couldn't make out who this new found foe of mine was as he had a red mask covering the eye and nose area of his face.

For some reason it felt as though Annaliese had seen this person before. a dark feeling swept over the whole room and filled Annaliese's body with shadows.

She couldn't help but feel a slight tinge of disappointment at the sight of his mask as she would have loved to know who she was fighting. Something deep inside of her let her know that she wasn't going the find that out for quite a while.

her sword mysteriously became a lot heavier as Annaliese struggled to lift it. her body was telling her not to attack this person but my mind was already made up.

At this moment they were both pushing their swords against one another's.
Annaliese was contemplating on whether to remove her sword as this mysterious creature started to overpower her.

her eyes were immediately drawn to the tense biceps on his arm straining to keep the sword against hers and She found myself wondering what it would be like to touch them...

my sword had started to slip so she snapped out of her thoughts just in time to get their swords level again. annaliese was mentally praising her trainer for making her do exercises for hours at a time that increases muscle strength. that was the only reason she had lasted this long. The mornings golden hue started to rest upon her face when it dawned upon her that people would be in here soon to begin their own hours of private training. Because of this, Annaliese had to take a risk to shorten the length of this duel so she swiftly took her sword out of the ongoing power struggle by jumping back so that she wouldn't be in his swinging range. Annaliese found herself on her toes as they immediately entered a fast pace battle where they moved around the training room as if they were in real life combat.

For some small reason Annaliese wasnt afraid anymore. she almost felt safe locked in battle and a part of her didn't want it to come to an end.

She could see the tight lines coming through her opponents tight cotton shirt. his trousers were low enough so that the inked pattern across his lower abdominal was on show. it almost looked like menacing snakes with their tongues out and hissing. but when she blinked they appeared as ribbons. she must have imagined the snakes. Annaliese had no idea what was happening when she buckled on the corner of the mat they were currently duelling on.

her mind slyly reminded her of what her mother would say if she could see her now, "the thing about the world is that it doesn't stop when you're in your own world". As soon as she was about to fall flat on her face and give her opponent the upper hand she somehow managed to regain her balance and began to fight back with a renewed confidence at the thought of her mother.

Blows were exchanged every other second until the opponent held her sword under theirs trying to loosen her grip on her swords pummel.

Annaliese wasn't ready to let go yet, even though her hands were smothered in blood and blisters She would rather die than let go of her sword. Extreme? yes. but she has been training her whole life to be able to go to these extremes for when I lead this kingdoms army. and since she had started her training they have been drilling into the back of her mind to never let go of her sword.
