Chapter One Forgotten Agony

I woke up in a dark room, only to realize it wasn't my bedroom. I squealed in horror and backed up against the wall, then my back hit a smooth, cold surface. I turned around on my dirty knees and gasped in shock.

I placed my hands against a huge glass window, and behind that window was infinite blue. A blue so deep it could only mean one thing. Ocean.

I screamed and hugged my bruised knees to my chest. What happened? Why am I here, and where's mommy and daddy? All I remember is..

My brain hurt when I tried to recall my last memory. But the scent of chemicals lingered in my nose. I looked out of the window again, my vision blurred with dirty tears. I saw what looked like building, no, a city, a city underwater?

Coral and other sea plants swayed on the other side of the glass, it comforted me in a way and I felt my eyes get heavy again.

When I was on the brink of sleep I heard a small wirring sound and I looked up to see a camera, with a flashing red light attatched to the side zoom in on me. A voice on the other end began to speak.

''Hello''

I didn't answer, fear racked through my body. I couldn't hold back my tears anymore and they fell down my muddy cheeks, leaving puddles on the floor, I helplessly sobbed infront of the camera.The huge metal door infront of me opened and a tall woman, with blonde hair tied neatly back, stepped in. She wore glasses and dark clothing. Her face was cold but her mouth smiled.

''Hello Isabella''

I still couldn't reply, I backed away into the corner of the room and cried harder.

''H-how do you know my name?''

''Isabella, I am Sofia Lamb, I brought you here for my own personal research''

My heart dropped ''Research?''

A sly grin errupted on her face. ''I have had my power restricted due to Andrew Ryan feeling threatened by me. So I ordered a friend of mine to abduct several little girls, so I can still carry out my research'' She walked closer to me and leaned over, meeting my tear-soaked face with hers ''You will go under a special type of surgery to have an adam slug implanted into your stomach'' She poked my stomach hard, and I winced, falling backwards with a small yelp ''And you will go around Rapture, this city, collecting adam from decaying corpses, and that adam will fuel my research''

My body froze, and I looked at her with horror ''What-''

''Sedate her'' Sofia Lamb suddenly ordered, and several men with swimsuits entered the room and held me down, one of the men produced a large, dirty needle and pressed it into my skin, injecting the foreign substance.

I let out a weak scream, only to find no noise came out.

''Goodnight, little angel'' The evil woman whispered as she left the room.

My vision became hazed and I feel unconcious, just as the first knife pierced my stomach.

I felt the need to make this chapter short, think of it as a sort of second opening to the story. The next chapter will be significantly longer.
