A few days had passed, the cats seemed to be comfortable with the temporary place. I on the other hand was just starting to get use to the place again. After not being here for two years its hard to get use to being back. I was up and scrolling throught my phone while still laying in bed. A loud knock came to my bedroom door, it startled me for a moment. I sighed softly before getting up and lazily walking over towards my door. before I turned the knob I unlocked it. My eyes slowly trailed up to the person's face. I stared at them for a moment, trying to figure out who the hell it was. My eye's widened Once I figured out who it was. "...Jack?" The man gave me a sly smirk as he looked down at me. This was Jack, my best friend when I was little. We use to play to gether and go to school when I lived here. We stopped talking after I left. "Nice to see you too, Em." He chuckled softly as he took a step into my room my door behind him. My heart started to race as I stepped back and stared at him in amazement. I haven't seen this dude since elementary, or as we wolfs call it, pup training. The memories came rushing in as I softly smiled at him then walked towards him and hugged him softly. Jack let out a soft chuckle before tightly hugging me. The moment seemed to last forever until I heard my dad at the door. "Emily! Get your ass moving, we got training to do." Right...I forgot today was my first day in training. I let out an irritated sigh before looking up at Jack "You better go, im sure you have training as well. Plus I need to get dressed." He nodded and patted my head before leaving my room. I stood there for a moment, taking in everything that just happened. Once I came back to reality I rushed around my room, finding whatever clothes I could find and put them on my body. I quickly slid my hair back into a ponytail then took a deep breath before walking out to the hallway then down the long staircase to the livingroom. I noticed dad standing by the door, talking with Jack. I just shook my head then walked into the kitchen, quickly putting cat food into the separate cat bowls along with water in the water dish before grabbing whatever food I could find for myself then walking back to the livingroom. I stood behind dad, but my eyes stayed glued to Jack's as they both talked. At some point I zoned out as my wolf started talking to me. Her name was Everest by the way. "Emily look! it's Jack! Ooooh~ We havent seen him or Lake in forever." I just simply nodded to her as I continued to stare at Jack. Everest growled at me, causing me to snap out of my little day dream. I let out an irritated sigh as I answered her in my head "Yes I know, He's changed. They both have....Just like us."
Everest let out a content groan as I followed dad to wherever we were going for training. I stayed quiet, but dad tried to make some small talk, I just gave him sour words back. I know what ya'll are thinking, Why does she hate her dad so much. To that I say its family problems, something some would get and others not so much. After mom died honestly its been rough she was the glue to the family, and the upper part of the pack, so without her everything fell apart so quickly. I often wish dad would've done something to save her but then I realize...he's the one who caused her death, thats what makes Alex and I hate him so much, and the fact that dad didn't even care, makes it worse. After mom died alot of the pack members left due to dad changing so quickly. Hell, we didn't even properly bury her like the pack normally would since she was the female alpha. I walked quietly behind my father until we both eventually stopped in one of the training circles. He looked down at me and I just gave him a small glare and turned around. Once he changed he nudged me and I walked behind a tree and quickly took off my clothing then shifted, letting everest stretch her body out. This is the time I allow her to take control. My spiritual body and mind to relaxed, but I did watch what she was doing since I knew she would be a bit rusty. Soon we stepped from amongst the tree's and towards my father and his wolf. He lowered himself to the ground, in fight mode right off the bat. "What the hell? What the fuck is he doing? We're supposed to be training not doing dumb shit like this." I asked, a small echo rang as I spoke since I was spiritually there and my body was basically shoved into the body of Everest. Everest let out a soft growl at my dads Wolf, Karmedon as she moved her body backwards into a pre-springing motion. "Emily. Shut up and let me do this." She growled at me, which caused me to get angry back. I kept silent though since this was her time and not mine. Soon Everest had sprung forward, which caught Karmedon off guard but he was quick to dodge. He was quick to respond to moves. He let out a low snarl which only made me chuckle in silence. "Everest, run him in circles, go hunter mode and hide then attack." Everest would nod as she looked at her surroundings before going behind a tree, beginning to run around in a large circle. Only parts of her body would show, which made Karmedon lose track of her easily. He was fast but he wasn't as fast as Everest. Soon he was shoved into a tree by Everest. She slowly walked up to him, placing her paw on his throat. Karmedon laid his head down in defeat then got up once she walked away. Within a few seconds I was back to my human form and dressed. Dad was looking at me and shaking his head. "I guess you two aren't as rusty as I thought." I just smirked then turned around, walking to the run where all of the buildings were.
