\START OF YEAR 10\ (alyssa gave birth near the end of year 8)
"happy new year, baby!" alyssa kissed her baby's chubby cheeks. baby girl had black eyes with light brown hair, her white african-asian appearance beginning to show more clearly.
"how is our little naomi doing?" maddy cooed, pinching both cheeks of the one-year-old. "maddy move, i'm the aunt," kayla shoved the slightly smaller girl aside and carried naomi out of her pram, bouncing her in her arms. "wanna see fireworks later baby? yes? yes you do," kayla smiled fondly at naomi.
"i can't believe you changed her name to naomi. brittany was-"
"a white ass name. naomi sounds badass, besides it was better than brittany."
rory scoffed, "well starting from today, naomi's coming home with me. i've got everything."
"yeah okay, i'm gonna get drunk on champagne" alyssa walked off to a table where the served alot of alcohol.
alyssa, emily, kayla, sarah and maddy were at a park where there would be fireworks for new year. of course, brought along naomi and after rory had heard, he brought a few of his mates too.
"sup boo" emily greeted, raising her glass of wine. alyssa poured herself some champagne into a glass and sat with emily. "i still can't believe you kept the baby. rory's baby." emily began to laugh hysterically, "naomi's gonna die by the end of this month, i'm telling you."
"well what the fuck am i supposed to do? take care of her until she's 18? hell nah. my parents wouldn't allow rory to step foot into the house, i'm telling you." alyssa said, mimicking emily's last words.
"5.. 4.. 3.. 2.. 1.. HAPPY NEW YEAR!" everyone yelled out, the fireworks exploding at the sky on cue.
and then naomi's cries were heard.
