Hinila ako ni Cel patalikod pero i stop and look at her.
"Hindi Cel, bakit tayo iiwas? Wala naman kami ni Ikatlo, there's no use of getting hurt by this sight."
Totoo naman, walang kami. Hindi dapat ako maapektuhan kasi walang kami.
Hindi ako umaasa.
Naglakas-loob na kong mauna sa kanya palakad. Magkakasalubong talaga kami. Kahit na nagtatawanan sila im sure they would be able to notice us.
"Beatriz wait lang nga!!"
Cel called me while shouting which caused Thirdy to look at our direction. Nakita ko nagulat sya.
Ano ka ngayon, Ferdinand? Nahuli ka ba?
"Bei?"
They are now in front of me. As usual, Paui smile. Ngiting angel, ngiting hindi gagawa ng masama, 'yong ngiti na mahal ng mga tao. The best girl in town is in front of me smiling.
Should i be proud?
Even if she is with the man who wants everybody for me?
"Oh Hi! You're here pala. I thought you're at Cainta Thirds?" Lumingon din ako kay Paui and greet her.
"Oh yeah but i suddenly crave for ice cream sakto Paui like it also."
He look at me eye to eye. As if he's telling me he doesnt need to explain anything.
"Oh I see, Paui are you two dating?"
"Naku Bea, hindi. We just hang out." She's laughing right now.
May nakakatawa ba?
Pinisil ni Cel siko ko thats why i look at her.
"Uhm Bei, Maki is waiting."
I look at Thirdy again. Nakakunot-noo na sya ngayon. Bahala ka dyan.
"Guys, we'll go ahead na. Enjoy guys."
We pass by the two and headed to the milktea house.
"Hoy Beatriz ang bitter mo don ha!"
"Anong bitter?"
We sat the couch and tasted our drinks. Good thing Maki bought fries pa.
"Heto si Beatriz, tapang ng lola mo Maks. We saw Ikatlo and Paui Sandoval. She asked them if they are dating. Kakaloka."
Cel said while munching her fries.
"Whats wrong with that ba? Im curious eh."
"Curious or selos?"
"Maks nga!"
Maki is laughing so hard right now. Cel is shaking her head.
"Kasi naman Bei kanina you sounded like a girl who have been ghosted. Para kang pinaasa sa asta mo kanina."
"One day they are an item, the next day hindi na. Di ba ghosting nga yon?"
Realtalking with friends is okay not until they make you feel guilty of something.
"Do you like Thirds?"
Cel ask me. Do i like him nga ba?
"Uhm, i guess so. Look he's fun to be with."
Totoo naman, he's a good conversationalist. We have a lot of things in common.
"Eh tingin mo ba pinapafall ka nya? Tapos iiwan din?"
"I dont think so. Thirdy is too kind to do that."
I sip my milktea again. Ayoko na ng ganitong usapan.
"What if nga Bei noh, hindi sya paasa nor pafall. Kaya lang sya sinasabihan ng ganon is because people are misinterpreting his actions? Kasi ang bait ni Ikatlo sa lahat."
"Whatever it is, one thing is for sure he is a good man." I answer Cel.
"Whatever it is also, one thing is for sure, you have to guard your heart 'cos you cannot afford to be uncertain with your relationship with Ikatlo. Okay?" Maki taps my shoulder. Cel is nodding.
Me?
One thing is for sure, i am jealous with every girl he hang out with.
