Anthony:

Follow that street down until Monroe, then take a left.

I was sprinting harder than I ever had in my life. I was completely ignoring the fire in my lungs and complete fatigue coursing throughout my whole body.

I read each street sign I passed in a frenzy, my mind swimming. Elmwood. Fourth. Monroe.

Monroe.

I immediately spun left on my heel, my vision now completely distorted. My heart had never pumped that fast. I was seconds away from Ian. I knew it. I could feel it. After all these months, I was seconds away from holdind my best friend in my arms again.

Fourth house on the right.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

I stopped as fast as I could. That was it. I was staring into the photograph, which was now right in front of me.

And parked right in the driveway was Ian's blue Subaru I hadn't seen in months.

I made an inhuman noise; somewhere between a whimper and a sob. I'd made it. I'd followed all the clues. I'd found him. He'd wanted to be found, and I'd accomplished just that.

Ian was here.

I'd found him.

I was seconds away from seeing my best friend who everyone thought was dead.
