"Carson, you're the top streamer in gaming right now!" Josh yelled, a little too overenthusiastically for Carson's taste.
"Dude! This is epic! Want to throw a party? Maybe have a little potluck? Maybe get in some boxes and have some champagne?"
Josh laughed a little bit. "Okay, no. You're not the top streamer in gaming. We're the only people on SMP right now, though."
"What?" Carson hit tab, seeing that the only two people online were in fact, him and Josh. "Oh dude, this is epic. What do you want to do?"
"I want to get you off the server, Carson."
"Oh, shit, dude, do you wanna go? Meet me in the nether hub, let's duke it out."
"You're on, and if I win, you can't call me anything box related anymore."
Carson raised his eyebrows and looked at the camera. "Oh, is that annoying, box boy?"
"Yeah, no shit! What if I called you No Milk for a week straight?"
"Dude, that cut me straight to the core, dude." Carson jumped around the nether hub and almost fell into the hole in the center, then remembered why he was even there. "Where the hell are you?"
"Shut up, I'm on my way." There was a brief silence before Carson saw Josh's character running through one of the tunnels in the nether hub. "You happy, milky?"
"Sure am, boxy." Carson stared at the enchanted axe in his hotbar and readied himself to click it. "Ready to fight?"
"Wait-"
"Go!" Carson switched to his axe and immediately killed Josh, promptly stealing his items and throwing them down the hole in the center of the hub. "Oh, dude, your stuff fell down the hole, better get them before they despawn..."
"This is straight up bullying," Josh muttered, coming back to the nether hub and attempting to find a way down safely.
"Watch out, Josh, the hole is right there!" Carson hit Josh's character and watched him fall down the hole. "I tried to warn you."
"I swear to god, I'm just trying to have a fun time on this server."
Carson checked his Twitch chat, mostly consisting of people yelling at Carson to stop killing Josh. "Guys, stop telling me to stop bullying him! I was threatened!"
"Please keep telling him to stop bullying me," Josh mumbled, trying to sneak past Carson.
Carson turned around and managed to kill Josh again in one hit, resulting in a frustrated sigh from Josh. "Josh, your stuff is going to despawn! You should stop messing around and go get it!"
"Yeah, I'd be getting it now if you weren't an asshole."
A few minutes passed of Josh finding a way down to the bottom of the Nether, with Carson only occasionally killing him and forcing Josh to restart the trek again.
"Oh, great. My stuff's fuckin' gone, Carson. Thanks."
"Hey man, that's what you get from wanting me gone, box boy."
Josh sighed, jumping into the lava nearby. "I'm just going to end my stream, I've been playing for like, four or five hours."
"Yeah, me too. There's nothing to do when you're the only one online, boxer."
Josh chose not to respond to the box comment, instead muting Carson and saying his goodbyes to chat, just as Carson did the same on his side.
"Hey, you ended your stream?" Carson asked as he heard shuffling noises from Josh's side, figuring they were unmuted now.
"Yeah," Josh coughed to interrupt the short silence. "You're done too?"
"Yeah, um, sorry about your stuff despawning. That was kind of uncalled for."
Josh didn't respond for a moment. "It's fine, it's SMP, shit like this happens all the time. It doesn't matter. Not hard to make new tools and stuff anyway."
"No, dude, I-" Carson sighed. "I actually feel pretty bad. You're like, my closest friend, and I just feel really bad for doing that. I don't know, I'm tired."
"If you want to help, um, that's fine. Next time we're both streaming we can go mining or something."
"I could just use creative to get you new materials." Josh didn't respond to Carson's proposition. "I'm the server owner, I can do shit like that, dude."
"Yeah, I know, but..." Josh sat silently for a few seconds. "I don't know. Do what you want."
"Okay. If you're happy with it, that's cool. I'd love to go mining with you, though. It's been a while since I've done actual gameplay stuff."
"Yeah. Sounds good, then." Josh yawned. "I should go, dude. See you tomorrow, or whenever."
"Alright. See you."
Josh exited the Discord call, leaving Carson alone.
He immediately went into creative, gave himself a stack of diamond ore, and set off into a cave to place it. Their next stream was hopefully going to be a good one.
