I never understood what my mom meant this morning when I walked out the door. She said that high school boys only wanted one thing and that I should be safe as she handed me my bus pass. Is she talking about sex? I mean, that's what my stepdad told me yesterday.

Sex wasn't a topic my mom enjoyed with me, her 15 year old sophomore daughter & she tried to avoid it all the time. But I needed someone to talk to about it. Yes I took health back in middle school, but who wants to listen to a 50 year old wrinkly piece of shit explain the anatomy of a penis and how it gets hard. That doesn't answer my questions. Like what if I like a boy and he try's to touch me and I like it...and I don't want to say no? But I didn't want any of this to be in my mind this morning. I wanted to start fresh. So after my mom handed me my bus pass, I opened the door and inhaled the fresh autumn air and waved to the attractive moving guys as I began to walk down the stairs.

It's mid September and my mom had just gotten remarried. After my parents divorce, nothing felt the same where we lived. So we packed our stuff and headed out to Michigan with a man my mom was having a pervious affair with. This man was Chris Florent. He was about 43 years old, very muscular and very intelligent. His parents owned a huge company down in Michigan called Florent Enterprise. His parents were thrilled to hear that him and his fiancé had decided to move north, close to them and I mean really close, as in his parents...are our neighbors.

"Oh, I see your ready darling? Excited to start your first day of your new high school?" I looked up to see my new grandmother, Margaret walking back up her driveway.

"Oh, Hi Margaret. Yes I'm ready. Say could you tell me where the corner of Lincoln Parkway & West Valentine Ave. is?" I said as I looked down at my bus pass...it was 7:03 and the pass said the bus will be there at 7:17.

"Oh yes darling. Take a left out your driveway and walk up the street. Take another left around the bushes and walk straight and there it is"

"Thank you! So, are we still going to the pottery class after school?" I started to say as I walked down the street.

"Of course darling. Now don't be late I'll see you at the school at 2:45" she yelled at me as I picked up my pace.

I pulled my headphones out of my back pocket as I went to turn around the corner. "Watch out!" Someone yelled at me when I went to turn by the bushes but when I looked up it was to late. Someone pushed me over onto the grass as they fell off their skateboard.

"Hey! Next time try to watch where you ar-" He began to say but stopped as he looked at me beginning to spin a lot.

"I...I don't feel so...so good." I felt something drip down my head as I looked up. He placed his hand on the back of my head to support me. I went to lift my hand as he removed his. I hear the boy gasp as he removed his hand from my head.

"...you're blee-" he was still speaking. But I couldn't hear him because the world was starting to spin more and more and the next thing I knew I was out cold on the grass with a guy I barely knew.
