One week later
Today the Smith's leave. I had so much fun with Micah and Crystal that I don't want them to leave. Nonetheless, I helped them pack up and put everything in their car (or at least as much as I could since my leg is broken), and they left. When I went back inside, Layla came up to me, and I guess I didn't close the door in time because she ran out!
"Oh no!!! LAYLA!!!!!" I exclaimed.
"What?! What happened?!" Robi exclaimed too.
"Layla got out!!"
"No!! Shoot. Mama! Papa!" Robi yelled for mama and papa.
"What is it?" They asked.
"Layla got out!" Robi and I said frantically.
Mama and Papa looked at each other. Then, after a second, we all ran (and I hobbled behind them) out of the house to look for her.

We looked almost everywhere, but couldn't find her. We finally did, though. She was with another dog on a whole other 5 blocks away! We actually went home at one point and got the car and drove around and finally found her.
