Long line

Chapter 2 : unexpected visit

Kimberly leans in closer from her seat beside me,we're in drama and supposed to be making our own notes which is totally what I've been doing .she quickly hands me a piece of dark chocolate before carrying on with her work.I've come to realize how distracted I get when I sit next to her , between her and Tobias whom is a boy I have come to like , a lot. Now and then I get the feeling she likes him as well , but I couldn't be wrong.

The bell rings just I finish my notes for today ,Kimberly went home while I sat by the netball court waiting for netball trials to being.I waited for at least 30 minutes, I take out a book and continue to read where I left of hoping I didn't come in the wrong day.

Just as I read the first word Tobias pitches up with a tennis racket in his hand.While putting his bags down he takes a seat next to me ,then turning
To me and smiling.Feeling extremely overwhelmed that my biggest church in history was sitting next to me and smiling,you can imagine the look on my face.I closed my book and extended my hand to greet him.

What in God's name am I doing , this is literally the dumbest thing I've ever....

Smiling gently he takes my hand and shakes it , trying my best to hide the rise of blood in my face I smile back ,"How are you Tobias and what brings you here?" i say with my voice trembling but also trying not to sound rude.

"Tennis price, how about you?" He says letting go of my hand and moving a bit closer. I breathe in deeply through my nose , the smell he gives off is intoxicatingly good."Waiting for netball trails,which I probably missed."He chuckled stating that it was yesterday."So um...can you pls show me the PowerPoint our teacher sent to our devices,my device is currently giving me problems?"

"Sure." I take my iPad while putting the book back and open the PowerPoint.
He closes the distance between us by moving closer to read the PowerPoint.This is the first time I've been with a boy without receiving any dirty looks from one,sweet.

We didn't really talk after watching the PowerPoint which made it quite awkward.we just sat there for about 5 min before I said bye and walked home.

As soon as I got home I immediately texted Kimberly.
"DUDE! I literally spoke to Tobias,he sat so close to me , because we were watching the PowerPoint together, I can't breathe!!!🤤"
And she instantly replied by sending heart emojis.

"And what did you guys talk about.?..?"

"Well we...didn't really say much at all,we just kinda sat there for a while."

"YOUR SO STUPID!!!"
I put my phone down and head for the shower,knowing that she'd only point out how dumb I was for fucking up my one chance to get to know him.I really didn't need another lecture,as I receive one almost everyday from my dad.
I take a shower as fast as I can trying to avoid my mom from crapping on me cause of how must water we use as a family,which I really couldn't give two bits about,I enjoy long warm (hot)showers.

I finish up and head to my parents room to say good night to them and my sister Geraldine , afterwards I settle into my warm bed , trying to get comfortable , tomorrow I'll prove Kimberly wrong.
