SUMMER has always been Johnny's favourite season. Many thought it was the hookups. More thought it was because Nadia Turner comes back from boarding then. Truth was, it was neither. Twas simply the freedom of it all.
No one would know why Johnny started hating summer. It was all of a sudden. One day he'd be saying,

Mackenzie and Johnny had met up right after summer started. Lauren was the most nosy sister anyone could ask for, and she was prune to setting up her best friend and her brother.

Johnny swallowed.
❝ I've only known you for a week, Kenz. ❞

Truth was, it wasn't Kenzie. It was the hottest girl in their grade. Lexi Jayde.
