AN/ It's a long one, and sorry I've been gone.

I was walking down 28 Elm Street with my best friend Andy, or Fovvs as I liked to call him. The two of us were walking home after spending a few house at mine to celebrate my tenth birthday. I always walked him home after we hung out because he simply hated going on his own. I thought it may be fun to sprint off, so I began to run at a fast pace. Andy ran after me, but then he started to yell after me.

"Ryan, slow down," Andy said to me. I stopped instantaneously when I heard him.

"What's wrong Ands?" I asked him. I looked at Andy's face. His fluffy locks were slightly covering his eyes. His pale skin was shining in the sun. He was thinking, I knew my best friend well, he was always thinking.

"N-nothing Rye."

"Andy tell me, I know something is wrong."

"Fine, I-i don't want to trip," he finally admitted.

"What if I pinky promise that you won't trip?" I suggested.

Andy smiled slightly, "Fine, let's go."

We began running again, but I kept to his pace this time. He looked really worried so to speak. After a few moments of silence between us, he spoke up.

"Ryan I can't," he said followed by him stopping.

I stopped beside him.

"Why Fovvs? It's just a bit of running."

"Please, Rye, let's just walk."

I know when Andy needs something, and this was one of those moments. He needed to walk, and I was going to respect that. Afterall, my number one priority was to make sure Andy was okay. I seemed to care about that above most other things for I reason I was yet to understand.

"Fovvs, normal kids can run," I commented. He then started crying. Momentarily, I was stunned. I watched as his eyes filled with tears, and then they slowly started to drip down his chubby little cheeks. I wrapped my arms around him.

"Andy I am sorry. I know you are not normal, but it is in the best way."
"Rye I want to be normal, though."

"No Fovvs, normal is boring. You are special and that is why I like being best friends with you."

"Really Rye? But I can't run."

"So what, you will get there. You already did the first sprint." I said.

"Yeah I did do that first sprint.," he said as he began walking.

"Slowly?" I suggested.

"Slowly," he confirmed. I walked beside him, and we shared a quick smile. I looked down at our hands, so close to being touched by one another, but yet miles of distance between them.

"Andy, just grab my hand, it will be fine," I said, ushering to climb on the rock with me.

"No Ryan, you know I have anxiety and I-"

"Your thoughts are not your actions, and I know you can do it. Just take my hand."

Slowly he reached his hand up and we interlocked fingers, and I never wanted them to be distanced again. He carefully placed one hand on the top of the rock, and then he place one foot, then another. He started to push up, and I pulled his arm and hand up with him. He fell onto my chest, and we ended up hugging.

"I did it Rye," he whispered into my shoulder.

"Yeah you did Fovvs, I knew you could."

"My thoughts are not my actions," he repeated, nuzzling his head into my shoulder.
