today was the class re-evaluations. the students had finished this term's exams and will be moving to different classes again based on their scores.
in the C grade classrooms, everyone was on their seats, nervously looking around and murmuring. they had been classmates for a term only and had to change again.
"what grade do you aim to get, bitna?" yunjin asked, ignoring the fact that they were still in a fight.
bitna stared at her before glancing away.
"maybe a B? i don't know." she shrugged.
yunjin smiled with relief. at least she replied me. the C class form teacher, cheetah, walked inside with the report cards and stamps. the students watched nervously as she called the students one by one, boys first. she carefully watched their reactions as cheetah stamped the grades on the cards and handed it over to them.
it was soon yunjin's turn. as she waited for cheetah to stamp, she reflected on this term's performance. it was a duo project. she had paired up with bitna and performed a duet of 'billionaire' by travie mccoy. she hoped for a higher grade than C.
to her disappointment, cheetah took the C stamp and stamped it on her card. she didn't move up or down but remained at her grade.
bitna received her grade as well. yunjin peeped over and saw that she also received the same grade, C.
"i thought we did better." bitna said to her, much to yunjin's surprise.
"same. at least we're still together!" yunjin cheered.
bitna smiled.
"hey, i'm sorry for neglecting you lately and making you feel left out. i'll be a better friend, i promise." yunjin apologised and bowed.
"it's fine. i forgive you."
delighted, the two friends continued to watch as their classmates received their scores. next, they waited for the other grade students who got C to move to their classroom.
"i hope minkyu moves here!" she couldn't help but whisper to bitna.
"yeah, we'll see. oh look, an X student! is it..."
bitna's voice trailed off as the class watched the tall X student enter. to yunjin's disappointment, it wasn't minkyu but the handsome, model-like han gichan.
