Every night since Alic turned five we go out on the deck and pray. Somenights its really short and somenights we have alot to take about.

"Do you want to start tonight?" We both knelt down, like we always do, looking out into the neighbors yard.

"Yeh, sure!" He folded his hands and closed his eyes. "Dear God, please have Uncle Bryan come home early tomorrow night. Amen." I opened my eyes and looked at my brothers face. How was he gonna feel when Bryan didn't come home early? He opened his eyes. I shut mine and acted like they were closed the whole time.

He elbowed me in the side. "It's your turn," he whispered.

"You said exactly what I was gonna say," I whispered back. With my eyes still closed I grinned. I knew he was still looking at me. At this time we usual go inside, but tonight we just sat there. We didn't talk. We didn't move. We sat in the dark with our hands folded and eyes closed. Nothing went thought me head. Actually, when I got my conchins back I thought I might have feel asleep.

"Come on. We better get to bed before Bryan gets home." I started to push myself up from the ground.

Alic tugged on my sleeve. "No just a little bit longer."

I didn't complane. I didn't even respond because I wanted to stay just a little longer also.
