A/n: The first part of this chapter might not be entirely accurate, because we've never had archangels try to locate each other in the show, but I tried to do it sorta similar to when Dean and Crowley were trying to find Cain.
"So, how does this work?" I asked nervously. Gabe and I were seated at the table in the center of the room, a large map of the United Stated spread across the table in front of us. "Will Lucifer be able to know that we're looking for him?"
"No, I don't think so. Instead of reaching out with my grace, which he would be able to detect, I'm merely trying to sense where an amount of power similar to mine might be located. Archangel grace is strong stuff, so I'm able to sense roughly where it might be." Gabriel explained, staring intently at the map.
"How do we know he's even in the United States?" I asked the archangel, worry written all over my face. "Look, cupcake, I know what I'm doing, so if you could stop asking questions that would be great." Embarrassed, I quietly watched Gabe work.
He put out his hand, palm facing downwards, letting it hover about a foot above the map. A wide beam of light came out of his hand palm, and I noticed that Gabriel's eyes were glowing blue. The beam of light consumed the paper, turning to ash everything except a small section at the far left. Los Angeles. "Wow, the city of angels, how ironic," Gabe commented, powering down his grace. "That's where he is?" I asked, unsure.
"What's wrong with LA?" asked Gabe, "It's a great place, trust me..." I snorted at this, "Yeah, based on what I've heard about you from my brothers you would definitely love LA." I said rolling my eyes.
"Well," I said, jumping up from my seat, "I'd better get going then." Gabriel stayed seated, a confused look on his face, "What, now?"
"Every second I'm not on my way to find Lucifer is one second he could be causing chaos." I stated, determined. "Woah there, come on, at least spend the night." he smirked. I laughed, much to the archangel's surprise, "No, I'm good. Thanks for the help, though."
He smiled, "Yeah, I kinda figured that a Winchester wouldn't be able to sit still for long." I smiled sadly, a feeling of guilt pooling in my stomach as I remembered that I hadn't seen my brothers since Lucifer's escape. "Yeah. Well, I hope I see you around."
"Well, I hope you and your brothers stay far away from me. Nothing personal, you all just have a habit of putting me in bad situations." he laughed as I stepped into the elevator. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." I smirked as the elevator doors closed.
