When Firebrand opened his eyes he found himself in a small, dark room, laying on a cot with Ink Rose and Dr. Wolf on either side of him. Ink's left wing was wrapped in a bandage, and she had a 3 inch scar across her back. Dr. Wolf's right paw was wrapped in gauze, and there was a bandage around his left ear. Firebrand tried to sit up, but he found his right hoof in a cast. As his eyes adjusted to the dark he saw many of his friends, every one of them having some kind of bandage, brace, or injury. On a cot about two feet across from Firebrand's was Kim with both wings bandaged, and Antony next to her, taking short, shallow breaths. Silverquill and Gibbontake both had neck braces, and Elliyora had bandages wrapped around her horn. As Firebrand tried to get off of the cot, he bumped into something hard. He cringed at the sound, but no one woke up. He turned to the noise and saw a metal scooter  with a large lable saying 'Reserved for Firebrand' and his cutie mark on the side. He layed his injured hoof on it, gave Ink a small nuzzle, and headed out of the small room.

When he stepped into the hall, he noticed 9 foot tall stained glass windows that looked extremely familiar. "Ahem!" He turned around and saw the last person-err pony, he expected to see. "S-Sunset Shimmer?" He asked in a wobly voice. "That's me." She said. "Wha-" he started. "No questions. Just follow me." She scolded, with almost no emotion in her voice. Firebrand obeyed, soon being joined by Voice of Reason and NickyV. As Sunset led them down the never-ending corridor,  Firebrand stopped to look at five enormous wooden doors, each one having a familiar looking mark on it. The middle two had a sun on the right door, and a moon on the left. The outermost two had a pink star on the right door, and a crystallized heart on the left. But the one in the very center, he could not recognize. It had a silver cross on it, surrounded by the colors of the rainbow. He opened his mouth to ask, but closed it again, and kept walking. He'd find out soon enough.

Finally, Sunset stopped in front of a large set of double doors. She knocked three times, and the doors slowly creaked open. There, in the large throne room, sat five golden thrones, each seating a different princess.

Yet again, Firebrand recognized all but the one beside Celestia. She looked exactly like Celestia, except for her aqua, purple, and fushia mane and tail, and pale pink coat, but there was definitely a resemblance. "Please," the mini Celestia said, "sit." Firebrand looked around the room and saw red and golden cushions arranged in a large circle around the throne room. He saw that each cushion had a name embroidered on it in gold thread, with that pony's cutie mark sewn neatly into the center. He layed down on his cushion and waited for the rest of his friends to discover what was happening.
